Dear Raffi wants to be picked up from the ball pool...

Uff...after I was contacted about the Yunnan 2003 Pure Parfum, I have now been allowed to review the Hainan 2005 Pure Parfum. Full of joy, of course. Not at all. Thanks to Chris for the bottling, who simply wanted to hear/read my honest opinion. Phew...I don't find the Hainan 2005 Pure Parfum quite as nasty as the Yunnan 2003 Pure Parfum but in the end I'm still...knocked out...

Dat Dingens lasts far more than a day on my skin...the sillage can't quite keep up but is okay so far.

The top note is really wickedly animalic...it smells so crude like ammonia...boah it shakes me enormously...Bibergeil wants to hold me in the clutches of animals but I somehow still get away from it...The fragrance pyramid is so strange for me because my olfactory organ is simply abused elsewhere...Boah there is also a manure pit coming up. There is also no transition from a top and heart note here...after you have survived several hours, then a base note comes through, which is okay but not that great either. Here I still recognize blue lotus, sandalwood in its purest form as well as hints of green tea.

I really don't understand why something like this is so well received on EssenceVitae. Apparently I just can't cope with something like that - sorry!

It doesn't take much to be happy

i don't think there's any sign of the old days here, but never mind.
Fragrance opens with mee with a lot of alcohol despite waving around then nice oud hint of mint mini
Cocoa then it already starts
strong animalic and rough leather
clean horse stable and soaked in tobacco, leather skin dense tranig and heavy Hyraceum is the all-rounder here fights with beaver in the oud forest, spicy tea and cypress bitter
Wood, tanned Russian vintage leather without end black and dark with gourmandig en cream musk, warm and sometimes cheeky half cuddly territory marking caution biting.
a bitter citrus can be sensed red wood and pink flowers at the very end hardly worth mentioning pure musk demand ambergris smokes with the beaver tobacco everything in harmony sandalwood comes a little at the end with delicate flora but remains a thick and tobacco smoking musk leather lump.
two hours of full power are enough with this blend, just the way I like it - enough for a little oud kick but too much leather for me, but the musk is so beautiful. So nature is sometimes evil sometimes sweet sometimes unique like this fragrance.

Crazy-fantastic mix

Once again I am reviewing one of the new releases from Ensar Oud. I was really looking forward to this one. The notes looked very interesting and promised me something new (which partly succeeded:). Many thanks again to dear Jakob, who gave me the opportunity to test this fragrance in the first place.

Speaking of dear Jakob, I can also confirm some of his statements. Hainan 2005 has a very strong start, you could also call it a punch or an explosion in the nose. So strong that I had to laugh slightly in shock. The latter points are probably due to the WONDERFUL fermented oud. So not a beginner's ensar right from the start, in my opinion. To enjoy this fragrance, you need to have some experience. For me, a very beautiful and crazy tea-incense mixture opens up in the following middle section. This may be due to mate, various citrus fruits and tobacco. As the fragrance slowly draws to a close, it becomes very oud-heavy again for me. During the whole heavenly development, however, there is unfortunately an indefinable note that makes it not quite a 10/10 for me. But the rest makes up for the uniqueness and the knowledge that NOBODY will smell like you.

My final word today is simply: uniqueness! And I'll leave the rest to the other brave testers :)
