The full blast of amber
The Jamaican Ambergris Attar lives up to its name. In terms of quality, this is a very fine fragrance, but a little too strong for my sensitive nose. The longevity is brute at over 24 hours and the sillage is also convincing.
The ambergris is right there in the top note. Thanks to Peru balsam, it also smells a little dark and beautifully of bourbon vanilla with a little cinnamon. The heart note has a floral scent of rose water, jasmine blossom and frangipani on the one hand and a woody, oriental scent of oud on the other. There is also a subtle smokiness. Ambergris is omnipresent in the base and even has a slightly creamy effect. It smells decidedly balsamic but also animalic.
Viewed neutrally and objectively, I understand that the Jamaican Ambergris Attar is extremely well received here. But as I mentioned at the beginning, I or my nose is a little overwhelmed. I would like to thank Nick for the bottling.
