I'm overwhelmed again

Many thanks to Nick for the bottling of Black Changho Pure Parfum :-) Once again, I'm totally overwhelmed and remain at a loss. Ensar Oud is simply a difficult subject for me. I also wonder why the fragrances were rated so highly on EssenceVitae. The ingredients may be high quality and authentic, but my fine nose is constantly dissatisfied and thinks to itself: Can you wear something normal? After all, the longevity is great at well over 15 hours and the sillage is also good.

The top note reminds me of a swampy undergrowth in the forest. It smells earthy, mossy, resinous and woody. The heart note smells smoky, leathery and oriental like oud. The base is somehow herbal, again earthy, woody and mossy with hints of patchouli.

I've sniffed enough for today...it's time to go to bed...

the liqueur-like fruit cocoa from C&P
becomes balsamic creamy with pink flowers that remind me of magnolia with hints of orchid mini roses Oud thought was also there sandalwood spicy warm and soft pulls the threads towards the end amber waves and cedar whispers appear sporadically. Oud is great but the sandalwood gets to the point too quickly for me.
