Softer and smoother than its predecessor
Intense Cedrat Boise is definitely very similar to the normal Cedrat Boise. In my opinion, Mancera has nevertheless created a great, independent fragrance here.
The normal cedrat is somewhat more angular and choppy. The transitions are very sharp. Initially very sweetly lemony and then a relatively steep progression towards a smoky, leathery and woody base.
At first, the Intense is an extrait de parfum. This means that the fragrance does not radiate quite as strongly and has a longer shelf life due to its higher oil concentration. This is also quite noticeable here, although the sillage is still very good. However, the Intense is much softer right from the start. The sweet lemon does not take up the entire opening, but is still somewhat enveloped by other notes. This results in a somewhat softer appearance. Everything seems better balanced.
There are also no clear edges to the fragrance as it progresses; instead, it flows smoothly into a rather woody, soft and creamy base. I think I can also smell some cinnamon here. The fragrance as a whole seems a little more restrained, spicier, softer and altogether better balanced and more stylish.
If I would classify the normal Cedrat more as an everyday fragrance, then I would wear the Intense for more sophisticated occasions such as dinner, events, etc.
All in all, a very beautiful and unique fragrance, where you don't have to worry about price-performance, durability and sillage. All in all, simply a beautiful perfume that very few people wear.
