"Smelling Great Fragrance rewies" or: Of false names, false ideas and a monster situation
Smelling Great Frangrance Rewiews is my favourite YouTuber when it comes to testing fragrances, as it presents and tests a wide range of fragrances. Sebastian doesn't keep to the fact that he particularly likes the scents of Mancera. However, I have not shared this passion. On the contrary, I was of the opinion that many fragrances from this house are very similar or copies of already known and popular fragrances. Hindu Kush should change my picture, but more about that later.
So I watched a video about "niche scents with monstersillage" and was nominated among other things (I mean even in the TOP3) Hindu-Kush. According to the testers, this should have an incredibly intense and yet captivating, beguilingly fine sillage and at the same time exude a completely new scenttaura. Well, after this positive review I just had to order a sample, which was ready for testing a few days later. Tensely I sprayed the noble water on my neck and was immediately surprised: no smoke! I was relieved, because I don't like smoky scents very much most of the time.
So: To the scent ---->
I would describe Hindu Kush itself as spicy green woody, which may be due to the light cannabis note. This green is surrounded by light and discreet smoke, which, I repeat, is not dominant and can hardly be identified as smoke. You can also smell a slight sweetness that lingers prominently in the first few minutes. But I can't grasp it completely, it's too multi-layered and somehow crazy unconventional. I would describe it as very wild, for me the name fits only if one refers it to the wild Hindukush mountains. Or if you imagine a drug frenzy under the cannabis strain Hindu Kush. But he doesn't smell it. I think the perfect name would be Intoxicated (Kilian) because it's intoxicating and beguiling.
The reactions:
Well, I thought it was great you liked the scent, but no one around you will like it. Wrong thinking! My sister immediately said what a great fragrance it was. The same applies to my colleagues. No negative reaction, which may also be due to the fact that on the one hand it has a very pleasing fragrance and becomes beautifully soft and flattering and on the other hand has a grandiosely elaborated sillage. It's not brute, yet it's always there. Similar to the Intoxicated, small scents are emitted again and again, which fog and envelop. My colleagues noticed it from a distance of about 4 meters and that about 4 hours after the application.
Durability and Sillage:
As already mentioned, he has a top silage that lasts at least 6-8 hours and is therefore rated 10. The shelf life is around 10 hours and is also top.
For whom?
Anyone who is looking for a fancy, not Mancera-typical scent, which is green-woody spicy and cannot be clearly assigned to any season. Anyone who attaches importance to top durability and sillage and is looking for a fragrance that is nevertheless pleasing and can be worn in the office/at work. Anyone who likes intoxicating fragrances like Intoxicated or Fou d'Absinthe.
Conclusion:
For me, the special Mancera with unique selling proposition! Unfortunately, he does not get away very well here, which I cannot quite understand, although he is special. Have courage and test him, and tell us how you find him.
