I want to go to Magnolia Mountain!
And lay my weary head down, Steady my soul and ease my worry... starting a review with an abbreviated song quote may be unimaginative, but the lyrics seem fitting for the fragrance. A restrained, calm and unfortunately also fleeting aquatic-citrus fragrance that awakens hard vacation vibes in me! A positive surprise!
Pacific Drive is the opposite of a top note blender: we start with (too) much lemon and acidity, not so nice, but cools down quickly and makes room for the main actor, sage. This is joined by another scent that I would classify as magnolia, even if I am perhaps being misled by the marketing. In any case, the heart note of the fragrance is great! It smells like freedom, a drive in a convertible on an avenue of blossoming trees into the deep pink sunset. A breeze of warm, salty sea air blows over from the nearby sea. The fragrance has a woody base with light musk.
A citrusy summer fragrance that is suitable for everyday use, not pungent, but rather for men with a certain depth. We are a long way from the so-called "shower gel freshness" here. Pacific Drive shares with Pacific Rock Moss the distinctly salty note, the "Pacific" in the name, the expandable performance and the fact that it smells so good to me that I can forgive its performance! Despite all these similarities, however, the fragrances are not really similar.
For me, the most beautiful fragrance from the Citrus Sommelier Collection by Birkholz. If you don't like citrus fragrances in general, you probably won't be satisfied here either. I like it!
