Comparison to the expensive AP / Batchthematik and my tip to you!
Hello everyone,

i have already teased that I would like to talk about this topic.

If you don't know the "Amber Aoud (Parfum) | Roja Parfums", then you can roughly say that it's a mixture of the "United Arab Emirates | Roja Parfums" + the "Nefs | Nishane". And for those who don't know them either, it is oriental - floral - woody and (slightly - noticeably less in the older ones, but more on that later!) sweet and creamy - resinous - spicy in the later drydown.

Now to compare the "Amber Aoud (Parfum) | Roja Parfums" and the "Amber Aoud Absolue Précieux | Roja Parfums" !

Comparing a €400+ fragrance with a €999 one is kind of nasty, because there must be certain reasons and YES there are!

The "Amber Aoud Absolue Précieux | Roja Parfums" is much darker, stronger, fuller, rounder and really all round better and you need significantly less sprays for an initially similar performance. But after 15 to 30 minutes, the "Amber Aoud Absolue Précieux | Roja Parfums" practically eats it up (in every way).

Indirectly, this was already a "steep template" for the next topic - the dear batches!

Briefly about fragrances from Roja in general, there are fragrances that have aged really well and have hardly aged at all in their existence (as long as they existed or until 20/21) such as the "Enigma pour Homme / Creation-E pour Homme (Parfum) | Roja Parfums", the "Musk Aoud Absolue Précieux | Roja Parfums" and also, for example, the "Amber Aoud Absolue Précieux | Roja Parfums". the "Amber Aoud Absolue Précieux | Roja Parfums" , but there are also very sad and modest examples such as the "Elysium pour Homme (Parfum) | Roja Parfums" , the "A Midsummer Dream | Roja Parfums" (see my review) and, for example, the "Amber Aoud (Parfum) | Roja Parfums" .

I've known the house for the longest time, so to speak, and I've tested all the years of the fragrance a few times through them (then friends, now the LIEBE Souk) and can really say that I already know it quite well! I now have a bottle (finally again) from 2018 and to start with, it really is the best from today's point of view (!).

A LITTLE digression on this.

Batches from 2012 to 2017 are very, very expensive nowadays and sometimes have hardly any sillage, but an insane shelf life. Batches from 2018 to early 2020 are the best in my opinion, they have a great H/S and are NOT too sweet! 20 to 22 (to my knowledge there is no exact date when the reformulation followed and the "Amber Aoud (Parfum) | Roja Parfums" hit it really bad!

It became:

- felt thinner (less H/S)
- much sweeter!
- much more pleasing
- few corners and edges
- more expensive

When and where to use it

Autumn, winter and the beginning of spring. Except for the sports sector, it always works, but please use it discreetly! Because the old one has WUMMS! Not even close to the "Amber Aoud Absolue Précieux | Roja Parfums", but you shouldn't use it constantly either!

Finally on the subject - the price.

I am PITY to talk about whether a purchase makes sense or not, in this respect it is very relative and my views may not be like yours and vice versa... . From a purely commercial point of view (which I am, among other things) I can say that the purchase today (NEW) of "Amber Aoud (Parfum) | Roja Parfums" is not justified (for me!). If you see what it offers + the durability and at the end the price tag = then I can only openly dishonestly say no! (FOR those from 2022 - NO, but the old 4,50€ - 5,50€ per ml is ok)

And now have a nice day/evening or whatever you read this review, LG the Benny

Did it really need you...?
Hello everyone,

late at night today I'm giving you my brief and honest opinion on "Acqua di Giò Parfum | Giorgio Armani". I don't want to ramble on too much about the subject...

My honest answer - no!

Of course I understand the company's way of thinking - you have to take milk from the cow for as long as it gives milk and the turnover idea of each individual company is also clear in my opinion, I don't have to think it's good and I know some of you don't see it any differently.

The fragrance is clearly one of the best in the line (!), but it is not yet a competitor to "Acqua di Giò Profumo (Parfum) | Giorgio Armani" and not to the old batches anyway.

You don't have to say things like timeless elegance, clean, mysterious and so on. I think everyone (almost) will know this!

Do you need it - NO!
Is it good - YES!
Buy - ... difficult, I think it's too expensive, but that's a purely subjective perception, as always.

H/S.

With "Acqua di Giò Profumo (Parfum) | Giorgio Armani" it was good+ until 2020 and then ok and here just ok, but nothing more, unfortunately!

How is it received and when is it recommended?

One of the biggest plus points is its versatility (location, season), it always works, always fits. And regardless of gender, it generally never offends!

Your advantage is your disadvantage..
Hello everyone,

today I would like to say something about "Parfum de la Nuit 3 | Roja Parfums" and go into relatively precise detail about what I wrote above.

I've known the entire series for several years now and in the end I liked each one in its own way (sometimes very much). The "Parfum de la Nuit 1 | Roja Parfums" was very resinous - spicy - woody and the "Parfum de la Nuit 2 | Roja Parfums" was actually the same, only it had this incredibly beautiful and very present cognac note to it.

And the "Parfum de la Nuit 3 | Roja Parfums" was somehow similar and somehow not..., it also goes in the same direction as I and II, but you always notice (at least I do) that it has been massively trimmed to a certain pleasingness and is so mass-compatible. This is certainly not a bad thing - but I just wanted to say it.

All 3 are top and as I said in their own way, but the "Parfum de la Nuit 3 | Roja Parfums" is also very soft, has no real rough edges = fine and balanced, BUT it has nothing spectacular or unique like the "Parfum de la Nuit 2 | Roja Parfums" with the cognac note..., here it is a VERY fine and light development of amyris, incense, leather, other woods and other resinous notes.

The H/S.

A small topic in itself, because batches from 2015 to are great in every respect, but 2022 to today.... I'll put it this way, those are okay, but if you ignore those you're not doing anything wrong.

Finally on the subject - the price.

I am PITY to talk about whether a purchase makes sense or not, in this respect it is very relative and my views may not be like yours and vice versa... . From a purely commercial point of view (which I am, among other things), I can say that the purchase today (NEW) of the "Parfum de la Nuit 3 | Roja Parfums" is not justified (for me!). If you see what it offers + the durability and at the end the price tag = then I can only openly dishonestly say no!

BUT (!) if you see a batch until 2020 and the price is ok and fair, then it's really significantly more like the more recent ones. Because 1200€ and sometimes that's a good amount of money...

Unfortunately, it is overlooked and discreetly undervalued... / It could pass as a true UNISEX fragrance!
Hello everyone,

there are fragrances that are hardly ever talked about - reasons for this would include usability, too normal/boring/generic, the price, the ingredients. Everything fits, but a typical issue with CC is the price. I don't really want to judge whether it's worth it or too expensive, because everyone has to decide that for themselves. In my opinion, it is relative to evaluate this, because everyone sees the topic differently than others ;)

I can only warmly recommend a test to everyone!

Everyone?

YES, really everyone. Because it is an actual feminine fragrance that has very noticeable UNISEX moments and I am honest, if I didn't know that it was a feminine fragrance, it would be an UNISEX fragrance. Yes it is fruity, floral and yes you can declare it feminine, BUT these green notes in it, the creamy, clean and in the drydown the slightly green - woody is for me (personal opinion!) not a pure fragrance for the women's world.

I know some gentlemen (also 40+) who like to wear/ take it very much and I say it like this - YES you can do it. A really nice fragrance!

With the fragrances of the house, 98% are not (H/S) monsters and many of them don't necessarily have to be, because the noticeable focus here is mostly on the quality of the fragrance oils and the fine-tuning / quasi the attention to detail!

Remember that one ;) ... !

Somehow I feel strange...
Hello everyone,

i feel really strange...
Is it some kind of betrayal?
Am I just so weird + scent blind and don't recognize it...
Is it "wrong" to be honest...?

In my world and in my way of seeing things, it is certainly NEVER wrong to reveal the truth! Of course I know that the truth can also offend people a lot, but am I doing them and myself a real favor in the long term if I lie or adapt the truth for the benefit of person X?

NO!

That's the end of this short blah blah blah, now to the fragrance and why I feel funny or bad about the fragrance!

For me, CC is a certain house that is in the top 3 in the still "affordable" niche world. And you can see from my collection that I have a few fragrances from the brand ..., but now I have to get rid of something negative.

The pure quality of the fragrance oils and the composition / customization (fine-tuning) is really really good with the company and really noticeably good +, but here we have something very very difficult for me!

When a prestigious house like CC plays with synthetic fragrances like MFK, for example..., then I think to myself...
- what's going on here?
- a bad joke!
- did that have to be?

These Ambroxan vibe's or what they are exactly are not fitting/ and seem strange. It is a nice fragrance for some and it has ok - good moments, but for me rather in drydown.

It is too synthetic - chemical - artificial in the first hour (for me personally)!

The H/S is good to very good.

Can I recommend it?

Without the price tag no!
And with?
Certainly not!

Everyone as they like, want and need it.
