Naxos in Swedish. Rough, with rough edges.
I love Naxos. This mix of tobacco and honey is just my thing. My uncle had a fragrance in the early 90s that smelled very similar, don't ask me what it was called, I haven't the faintest idea. And unfortunately he's no longer with us. So the uncle. And the fragrance probably isn't either. But I think that's why I like this fragrance so much.

What I don't love is the price of this extraordinary concoction. for me personally, 200 euros is just too much for a perfume. So I have to find an alternative.

I found out about Honey Tobacco from a super nice EssenceVitae user who was and is here to help me with lots of tips (Hi Miffy ;) ). He was always raving about it.

By chance, I got a 5ml sample of Honey Tobacco relatively soon after our conversations and I fell in love with the stuff immediately, at the very first sniff.

Yes, it's different from Naxos. First of all, not so expensive. Very good. But it's also not as nuanced. I would say it lacks a niche. Even if the manufacturer is called Niche4All, it lacks it. But that doesn't matter. It's exactly how you would imagine a Naxos from Sweden to be. It's rougher, it has more corners and more edges. You can tell where he comes from. Sweden is just not Italy.

And yet I love it. The opening is pure tobacco. But the good kind. After a short time, however, the sweetness of the honey is added, I'd almost say it goes in the direction of manuka honey. Just right. I can also smell a little vanilla towards the end. That's it. And that's all it needs. Where a Naxos impresses with complexity, Honey Tobacco shines with its simplicity.

The longevity is great, I can easily smell it on me for 8 hours. The sillage is gigantic for the first 2 hours, but then gradually decreases. Fits!

We don't need to talk about the bottle, even 6 euro fragrances from the DIY store sometimes have nicer bottles.

But in the end it's the content that counts and it's convincing all along the line!

Naxos comparison
I won't make a secret of it, I was just looking for a cheaper Naxos.

Honey Tobacco already has clear similarities to Naxos and I would probably always identify the scent as Naxos if someone else was wearing it.

The comparison:

At the start, they differ mainly in that Honey Tobacco lacks this fresh citrus opening from Naxos and the heart note sets in faster.

In the heart note of Honey Tobacco is mainly jasmine and tobacco present. The whole thing goes already in the direction of Naxos only lacks here honey and the remains of the fresh top note. Thus, the fragrance smells somewhat dry.

Once he is then so about 2 to 2 ½ hours on the skin I recognize the differences without direct comparison only very difficult.

The fragrance tail smells already 95% the same. Here are the differences I could really only perceive by direct comparison on the skin:

The honey in Honey Tobacco smells a lot heavier and also "colder".
The Naxos has a spiciness that Honey Tobacco actually does not have at all. I think this is due to the tobacco. With Naxos this is namely not so sharp and just spicier. Thus, the Naxos has its special honey-tobacco combination the Nishe4All Dupe unfortunately missing.

The Naxos is too expensive for me for its price. Nevertheless, I will also not get the Honey Tobacco as a flacon. The unique thing that distinguishes the Naxos and what I am also about Honey Tobacco can unfortunately not bring. Nevertheless, you get here for the price a good fragrance. What the perfume promises, honey and tobacco, you get here namely with reasonable H / S offered.

I. LOVE. IT!
I became aware of this fragrance through a super Souk user (greetings to Miffy :D) who recommended it to me.
I would never have ordered even a sample just because of the name because I'm always afraid that it will be too honey-heavy if the fragrance is already called that.

What can I say, he had sent me three other samples and one of them was the Ambre Tabac which had very good ratings and the fragrance reviews went in the direction I wanted.
Like Naxos but a bit more edgy and a bit more tobacco heavy.

The end of the story was that I didn't like the fragrance at all because the Ambre Tabak was too honey-heavy for my nose and the Honey Tobacco was exactly what I wanted at first sniff!
Tobacco-honey-jasmine... and the heart note starts immediately and stays forever.
I just keep smelling the sample because I'm so in love with it. I'm definitely going to get a full bottle of this!

It's fresh, fresh...and exciting
I came across Honey Tobacco by chance, because I want to get more involved with tobacco notes.
I still don't like smoky flavors, but the different nuances of the tobacco varieties are multifaceted. The nuances of the tobacco varieties are multi-faceted. There are also gourmand, woody, fruity, etc.
From the very first spray, a fresh bomb filled the room...! I wouldn't describe it as citrus in general, rather as a mixture of unsticky sweet licorice, spicy licorice and spicy aniseed. But all without any sugar sweetness.
Afterwards, I was expecting honey and tobacco in particular to replace the freshness.
But they don't.
This bomb stays fresh all day long! Even after work, I still get compliments on the scent AND I can still smell it myself.
It seems to have reduced the sillage a bit after 12h (no longer room filling) but it is still very noticeable at social distance.
It powers and lasts, lasts, lasts...I have rarely experienced anything like it! I think that's because the notes all keep teasing each other a little.
Jasmine tends to hold back for me, which I welcome here.
I find it a tad more masculine.
That's why I would make it more feminine with vanilla or layer it with the sultry sweet tabacum (which lacks the exciting freshness here).

The "spicier" Naxos
Actually, I don't think much of "dupes", they're usually not that close to the original and the quality isn't that good.

I have now tested the scent of Niche 4 All and Naxos against each other on my arms.

The fragrances are already very similar, Naxos is a little softer and has something more floral in it, as well as a little more sweetness.

Honey Tobacco has more of the spice of honey but not the sweetness, overall the fragrance is a little more masculine and rugged than Naxos. On the other hand, the fragrance lasts much longer on me and is more intense in every phase.

The progression is very linear for me, with Naxos it becomes softer and more floral over time, the spiciness of the honey recedes.

Overall, the Honey Tobacco actually wins for me, even without taking the price into account, if you include it...
