Frenchman meets Malaysian jungle ranger
Today I am once again turning my attention to the sinfully expensive Ensar fragrances. So the EO Purple Kinam. A release that I've wanted to try for a long time. This mixture of iris, Tonkin musk, Malaysian oud and other equisiac notes already appealed to me in the description. So thank you very much for the opportunity to test it, Evren:)
The suit-wearing Frenchman flies to the Far East to find out about the cultivation of oud. When he lands, he is overwhelmed by an abundance of spices. He can smell the distillation of oud from afar. When he meets the forester, the perfect symbiosis of French elegance and Oreintal charm is created.
For me, the fragrance starts a little spicier and with a subtle oud note. I find it very tropical and powerful. For me, however, this combination still runs very nicely through the rest of the creation. As the fragrance develops into the heart note, you can also slowly feel this elegant iris note. A slight sweetness also comes through for me. In the drydown, the oud finally really kicks in for me. Not animalic, but rather earthy, deep, dark and powerful. Rarely have I experienced such a beautiful and harmonious composition as here.
Purple Kinam also has a decent H/S. You can easily get through a day with it, but it is not a beast mode. For a more affordable price, this Ensar would move in immediately. So give it a try if you want to experience French style with an oriental twist :)
