Silent flirtation
In addition to the new Sahar, I was also able to test this new fragrance from Prissana extensively. I really liked Sahar and I tend to wear it a lot, but I'm not sure about this one. Yes, it is quite beautiful and pleasingly made, but for the price quoted, you can get a lot more cinema elsewhere.
Akhetaten starts off floral, gently spicy. Almost delicate, virginal, with a hint of nutmeg and cinnamon. The fragrance soon becomes richer, clearly more floral. Above all, you can recognize an authentic note of jasmine paired with a fresh rose. The fragrance floats around like this for a long time. With the best will in the world, I can't catch any leather here. Especially as it is supposed to be suede. There is none of it. But what does come along is incense. Light, shallow, almost lukewarm, it hangs in there. Subtly tarry and resinous on the edges, somewhat enveloped in patchouli. Finely sandy at its core, this silent love affair is having a good time here. This under the rays of the setting sun. It is like a fleeting kiss, a glimpse of passion. A strip. Nothing more. It comes across as very pleasing and too perfumey, if you know what I mean. For a Prissana, it's too "designer-heavy" for me.
The fragrance doesn't last very long on me and even after wearing it several times, I haven't found a connection to it. On the contrary. It bores me. It is beautiful, yes. But being beautiful is not always enough.
