A solid, sweetly synthetic mainstream fragrance
Lately I've mainly been busy with niche fragrances, so even a designer like Invictus Parfum comes in handy for a change. What can I say, I think it's absolutely fine, even if it is quite sweet and synthetic. The longevity is good at around 10 hours and the sillage is fine so far
The top note starts fresh, maritime but also alcoholic and synthetic. There is also a hint of lavender here. The heart note smells quite green and herbaceous with myrtle, sage, violet leaves and some eucalyptus. The base then becomes really sweet and smells synthetically of cashmeran, creating musky, woody and vanilla-like aromas. Over time, a certain coconut note also comes through.
I'm not completely thrilled, but I've never been with Paco Rabanne fragrances before. Although that's not entirely true, the vintage versions of Paco Rabanne pour Homme Eau de Toilette are terrific. I also find the Invictus Eau de Toilette a little more pleasant to wear because it's not so sweet. Thanks to Sam for the bottling.
