Am I in the church ???

I bought the perfume blind here on EssenceVitae, but unfortunately I was a little disappointed. The scent doesn't smell as "fresh" and "green" to me as in the description, but rather has something old-fashioned, as if you were in church at a funeral, but unfortunately the misistrant has burned far too much incense and in addition a tonka bean has slipped into it. On the other hand, you can still smell the green notes which are very surprising after the strong spice. Since the comments keep talking about a fragrance for work, I can't quite understand that. I think that a fresh and citrusy fragrance would be more appropriate. Despite all that, it's not a bad fragrance, but it's just too old for me.

Blue Fragrance in elegant

I got to know 7 Cobalt because I bought a perfume from a Spanish perfume shop shortly after the fragrance was released and received a few samples. I liked one of these samples immediately and I knew I would have to buy this perfume sooner or later.

The fragrance starts with a spicy note and a little fruit in the form of blackcurrant. In contrast to 7 Eau de Toilette, you hardly notice the pepper here. It is also quite fresh. Later, the vetiver adds a little woodiness and greenery. Overall, it also has a certain shower gel note. However, this is nowhere near as obvious as in Sauvage Eau de Toilette and simply smells more sophisticated, in my opinion.

In my opinion, this perfume is perfect both as a fragrance for every day, perhaps for a seasoned man who dresses rather conservatively but thoughtfully, but also as a fragrance for work, as it is not too thick and creates a certain distance by the fact that its fragrance profile radiates a professional coldness, but not an emotional coldness. You can actually wear it all year round. It combines all the fragrance components to provide enough freshness in summer as well as enough edge in cooler temperatures, except at most on very cold days.

Longevity and sillage are solidly average and the fragrance is rather inexpensive for a designer fragrance in this class.

Definitely worth a recommendation for me, even if it secretly pains me a little that the 7 Cobalt is now also becoming more and more popular through perfume influencers on YouTube. :))

Absolutely beautiful fragrance

Absolutely cannot understand the negative reviews!

I got to know this fragrance a few weeks ago at a concert. I was standing in the queue to get in when I kept getting a whiff of an unfamiliar scent. I thought to myself: that must be the guy behind me who smells so good. So I simply asked him if he was wearing perfume. He replied in English that he only understood English and Spanish and had come all the way from Spain for the concert. So I asked him again in English and he told me the fragrance.
After the concert, I ordered this fragrance blind and have no regrets so far!

After spraying it on, it is quite synthetic. It's cool and metallic. I recognize blackcurrant. It has something of shower gel! But after a few minutes, a spiciness comes to the fore and the synthetic scent pleasantly rounds it off in the background. At the same time, however, this spiciness alternates with a woody scent. It's like mixing the pepper with the incense, but the two don't mix into one scent but alternate every few breaths. This is something that absolutely blows me away and is somehow new to the German nose. That's also why it's a perfect blend of designer and niche fragrance for me. The synthetic: designer, the unique spicy/woody/niche.

Longevity is around 6-7 hours and I don't even find it that close to the skin. My surroundings already notice the fragrance.

A great all-rounder for everyday wear or a special occasion!

The fragrance has convinced me to the maximum and stands out massively from the German fragrance trends (which I find meanwhile to vomit) a la Ombre Nomade, arabians Tonka and all the other overwhelming stuff!

Price/performance is also great.

Cold cobalt

7 Cobalt is described here, among other things, as a very masculine Busiessduft, for which it could almost be a reference. Although the fragrance does not meet my taste (blame the dominant synthetic-mineral notes), it is really well done and looks extremely professional.

Top notes include a dry, bitter currant and tart, acidic sage. This makes the fragrance fresh and exudes a certain austere coldness that becomes characteristic. Fruity pink pepper combined with subtle vetiver brings in a pleasant spiciness. The fragrance is underpinned by tame incense that blends in nicely with restraint. Until then, the scent is pleasing and shower-bath-like. I'm still bothered here the typical citrus synthetic.

Thereupon, a cool metallic graphite note forms, which is very enhancing with a subtle clove spice. This all seems well thought out and well implemented.

Personally, I lack nice notes, although a harmony is definitely created. The metallic-cold fragrance overwhelms me a little. As a perfect business fragrance I see 7 Cobalt but also.
