Clean powdered baby skin to spray on.
For me, La Peau Nue is a fragrance that combines cleanliness, freshness, powderiness, creaminess & innocence.

The first image that comes to mind when I spray the fragrance on and sniff myself is a clean, freshly creamed and powdered baby's bottom or baby skin in general. The fragrance opens slightly fresh and tangy, although I personally barely notice the bergamot. A wonderful iris butter can be sniffed out, which reminds me slightly of the shea butter scent in its fragrance texture and DNA. This creaminess is accompanied by rice powder which, in my opinion, is the star of the whole fragrance. The fragrance also reminds me a little of cosmetics such as lipstick, blush etc. due to its delicate powderiness.

It is incredibly soft & well-groomed and a true "clean girl" fragrance. The rose is also very noticeable to me. Anyone who knows the typical rose water scent will also find it here. Slightly soapy and powdery at the same time.

Fresh out of the shower, creamed and powdered, that's the best way to describe the fragrance. Personally, it even reminds me a little of the typical Nivea Creme scent, only much higher quality.

The fragrance is very linear and consistent. It does not change its fragrance course and smells the same when sprayed on, right up to the drydown. The sillage is OK to average. It is not a fragrance that screams and calls for attention. Rather, it dances happily on the skin and waits for noses to find it instead of introducing itself without being asked.

This fragrance is suitable for even the most sensitive noses among us. My mother and I get migraines incredibly quickly from perfumes, but we could both sniff this fragrance until we couldn't walk anymore. At no point does it have a headache trigger because it is so incredibly gentle.

Incredibly good
"This one smells like a fine cream" - with these words La Peau Nue was sprayed on me at Celine. And yes, to a certain extent I agree: the fragrance is very classy, powdery and wonderfully well-groomed But at the same time it is also a little strange, almost eerie, but in a positive sense...

The beginning is different than I expected. I smell a clear paper note, with slight hints of rose. And an edge that I can't quite put down to the mixture of bergamot, rice and vetiver. It's a bit like Dioramour: there's something lurking in the background that I can't put my finger on. But it smells completely different, only the feeling is similar. So absolutely no animalism, just something that somehow doesn't fit, but that makes the fragrance so wonderfully imperfect. This makes it not "just" a cream fragrance, but a cream fragrance with the icing on the cake.

Of course, I can also clearly smell the gorgeous celestial iris butter, which gradually dominates the fragrance. However, the rose remains present in the background throughout.

Overall, the fragrance fascinates me and I love wearing it. The opening is somehow beautiful and irritating at the same time. It's as if the fragrance doesn't match the skin at all or as if you're putting on someone else's skin... After a few minutes, it melts and almost becomes its own fragrance. Somehow eerie, but also exciting and simply beautiful.

Naked skin, but better
A perfect cloud of powder and cream. So fluffy, so clean, never suffocating, dusty or sterile. This has the perfect amount of warmth and sweetness to not turn sharp and cold, but not more than that. I usually love vanilla, but I'm glad it wasn't added here.

Orris is obviously the star of the show, and it's the buttery smooth kind. The rice powder adds another layers of powdery cosmetic cleanliness, and a hint of soft rose rounds it all off.
This might not be the most original scent on earth, but it's so sophisticated and perfectly balanced that I don't mind at all. Céline does powdery scents very well in general, and Le Peau Nue toes the line between creamy and powdery flawlessly, leaning ever so slightly into the creamy site on my skin.
This is very true to its name, it's the definition of a "your skin but better" scent. Like you just showered and pampered yourself with the most exquisite body butter and powder. Very easy to wear and more of a daytime scent, but with a subtly sexy undertone, like a suggestion of the clean naked skin underneath our clothes.

faded beauty
a stunningly beautiful combination of orris butter and rose. smooth as silk; powdery, but not in any way scratchy or suffocating. this is definitely on the makeup side of orris' many facets; the finest milled pressed powder, or the most creamy-soft and buttery lipstick. the rose tames it into a slick of pink and beige skin shades, lightly effervesced by the merest sparkle of bergamot in the opening. incredibly minimal yet executed perfectly. by the point of late dry down, the orris is less buttery and takes on a more traditionally musky-powdery facet. with the vetiver, which introduces itself gradually and subtly, the rose becomes dried and brittle, almost reduced to a pale powder itself. there is also a touch of vanilla as well that begins to emerge. it does seem to augment and sweeten the rose a touch, but again, only so far as to support the main duet and not disturb it. it is, overall, akin to the description, of being like watching a photo de-saturate from overexposure to light and age, or a memory gradually fade to white static. quite nostalgic and melancholic in a way. longevity seems amazing, but it mostly stays close to the skin aside from the opening. that aside, all in all, perfection to my nose.
