Unfortunately not my cup of tea...
Oh yes, as soon as I applied Cologne Française for the first time, I realized: No, this is not a fragrance for me. Somehow it doesn't harmonize or match with me or my skin. The longevity is also very restrained at 5 to 6 hours and the sillage is rather mediocre.
The top note smells fresh, floral and very green like fig leaves and neroli, but not in a particularly pleasant way, even a little musty. There is also a hint of citrus here. In the heart note, iris butter and violet provide a certain powderiness. There is also a hint of soap. The base smells slightly woody and mossy, but this is where the fragrance runs out of power.
I am actually a great lover of neroli fragrances, but this is actually one that (rightly) disappears under the radar. I would like to thank Nick for the manufacturer sample.
