Similar but not a dupe
For the first 10 minutes or so this reminds me intensely of Aromatics Elixir. At about that mark they begin to diverge.
On first application there is a flurry of everything in the note pyramid; intense florals, musky woody moss, some sharpness and herbs. Very similar to Aromatics Elixir.
Around the 10 minute mark on my skin the flurry of the base notes (according to the note pyramid) starts to diminish.
Trying them side by side the Aromatics Elixir is dryer, more woody, more mossy and keeps those notes all the way through the, approximately, six hour wear.
The Alf Zahra pretty quickly loses the dry woody notes, and leaves me with a slightly soapy or shampoo like rosey floral. On my skin it actually doesn't have the note pyramid, it's more like everything all at once and then a base note display of half the middle notes.
I like this a lot, and can see me mixing it with some oil to use as an all over oil.
I rate these Al Haramain perfumes highly based on 'fragrance for a price point'.
