Reflection makes me FURIOUS WHY DO THE FLORALS FADE SO FAST BRO IDC ABOUT SANDALWOOD
I hate this stuff.
it makes me so mad.
The opening is incredible - 9.5/10
This stuff is so close to being one of my favourite all time summer perfumes,
But i have literally never encountered another perfume (Except reflection 45) that has a more disappointing drydown than this
The white florals (rare in masc notes) are blended to perfection w the sweetness, fresh airy feel and gentle powerdy spices
But they fade. Really fast
Like in 4 hours
nd once they do it's a generic boring perfume that smells like every $45 sandalwood perfume you've ever smelled by accident
Except it's got this strange metallic sweaty note that feels like you just left the gym
these amateur perfumists who arent as addicted to smelly water as us INSIST on rating perfumes after smelling them on a strip for 10 seconds
(u cannot rate high quality niche perfumes like this unless u wear it for a full day. it smells diff on paper, and you're missing half of what makes perfumes cool if u judge stuff on paper only)
this is one of the most mid amouage perfumes i have smelled - but it's popular bc the opening is really mass appealling

pls stop telling people reflection is good - amouage has some serious stuff (eg Royal Tobacco) and people buy THIS junk instead

Don't lie to me. I KNOW you parfumists rated this higher than Reflection because it costs more and makes u sound cooler

btw I am rating the performance based on the top notes - bc without them this perfume is junk.
It smells worse than the original Reflection, I promise you, my friend who is also addicted to spending your paychecks on smelly water you dont need
I've done 5 or 6 full days of wearing both, side by side
so i know literally everything about these stoopid mass appeal perfume messes created by amouage (one of my favourites. but they did us dirty w Reflection & 45)
What's good about both reflections:
delicious opening masc florals;
delicious fresh creaminess ;
very gentle spice accords (i barely notice any, but you can feel them and they add depth)
a lovely subtle combo of notes that's pretty unique in masc summer scents;
typical amouage S tier balance between top middle and base notes;
(technically) good performance - i'll explain why that's not a good thing below
Why they arent as good as everyone pretends they are:
the drydown SUCKS.
Once the florals fade (which lasts about 3-4 hours), you're left with a boring generic soft sandalwood scent
everything good about the perfume fades before it's lunchtime
you're disappointed bc you went from an awesome unique perfume to something that you've smelled 100 times and you no longer feel hot n kooool
projection is also junk after the top notes fade
whats good about 45 :
the bottle looks better
people will know that you can afford slightly more expensive obscure collectors items
you can pretend to smell more notes in this one bc it has more listed
(there arent actually more discerable smells. theyre just not balanced and blended as well)
whats bad about 45:
it smells more medicinal
less floral (this is the reason reflection is good btw)
more one dimensional
more woody (bro i have smelled sandalwood before, it isn't that interesting by itself)
it's less fresh (this is also part of why the original is good)
the florals last EVEN LESS TIME

the sillage is also worse
also it has more of that metallic sweat note that i dread from the original reflection >:(

i dont like reflection 45, and neither should you
perfumes developing during ur wear is only a good thing if it makes it smell better/more interesting :|

Oh my GAWD that Kulfi is SO Gooooooood
TF Noir Extreme Parfum is nutso insane
(the edp is junk. 0 performance. don't buy it.
the marketing genuises at TF surely made it junk on purpose so people want to spend a little more on parfum bc it actually has some discernable lasting scent)

I find most gourmand/sweet perfumes come off as sticky and syrupy to me - which i hate
it gives me headaches and makes u smell like a 14 year old
(this is a bad thing. even if you're 14. you don't have to smell like that, it's cringe)
But when they're not overwhelmingly sweet, and theyre balanced nicely by woods/saffron/rose
(eg like this parfum)
It stands out a lot bc so many gourmands are sickly sweet w poor balance
It's just so damn good
Price is pretty cheap for what it is - a unique, niche quality perfume with great performance and a special date night scent profile
still has plenty of mass appeal, but as with a lot of TF perfumes it's probably weird for entry level perfume enjoyers
it's very masculine and im very fluid w perfumes,
but i would suggest some women might feel this is too masc
I will not stand for any TF hate when they continue to make stuff like this

Sticky sweet syrupy joose
This stuff is so incredibly sweet and syrupy, it gave me a headache from 1 spray
I get the br540 extrait comparisons, but Kropp is stronger, weirder and less mass appealing
Blood orange saffron has always been a cheat code note combo
But Kropp takes it in a strange niche direction
Initial spray is VERY heavy - almost sickly and tbh it made me nauseous
But once it dries down the spices settle in, the Amber becomes less cloying, the florals and ginger come forward
It’s pretty lovely stuff
But it’s my least favourite from Pana Dora so far
For me it’s too sweet, heavy and syrupy
Leans feminine
Performance is absolutely huge, bottle is gorgeous
and if you like sweet syrupy fruity perfumes this is going to be great for you, just isn’t to my personal taste

Gateway juice to my smelly water addiction
Oud Satin Mood has a very special place in the collection I've spent way too much money on
It's the very first masterpiece perfume I smelled, and I have been in love w it for many years
It's literally perfect, and it shaped my taste for other smelly waters that cost more than I can afford
What I smell is:
Perfectly balanced and realistic florals, non-cloying amber, slightly bitter vanilla, smooth musk and my favourite note of all time - soft (and not sour) oud!
The gentle spices, woody notes and creamy sweetness rounds out this perfume to deliver a sexy and sensual unisex gasm to your nose
Monstrous performance, about as high as it gets
$625 aud is revolting, but for 70ml of one of the best perfumes ever it's not THAT bad value I guess
People who call this a grandma perfume have little baby noses that can only smell rose
