There just has to be something more...sensual sunshine and hormones in a frenzy
After being so blown away by The Harmonist brand's Golden Wood (the soul-satisfier) and the honey-bombed night queens of Moon Glory, I turned my attention to Sun Force.
As a result, as I had only heard shower gel and room or hairspray vibes at first, I was already about to gulp at the orbitant perfume price.

Anyone who has experienced my angelic patience with fragrance developments (see other reviews, including Plum in Cognac) knows my motto: There just has to be something more...

Well, I can only wish you testers what happened to me in the course of the fragrance!

An irresistible aroma develops on my skin after a naked, freshly showered, beloved partner and his stimulatingly beguiling attractants...

The connoisseur remains silent about the rest.

Golden forest and healing wood
Cabreuva is said to be a healing wood fragrance.
So if it smells as cuddly and balmy as Golden Wood, then I need a parquet of it!

I didn't really want to try this perfume for a long time. Somehow the beeswax made me skeptical. And malty notes can also come across quite strangely depending on the scent.

But I thank my fragrance friend for her stoic "You MUST try it!"

At first I thought it was something Christmassy and wintery like spices and cinnamon, even though they're not in it. Then I recognized the aromatic, spicy resin and actually a kind of malt beer with tangerine instead of lemon.

The deliciously sweet beeswax has something fresh about it, not like old dried out beeswax candles.

The (roasted!), slightly almondy tonka probably gives it an extra kick.
Oh, Tonka and I are always in love.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm off at a whiff of smoke. But here, the aroma seems to come from a long-simmering barbecue fire in the forest. Which makes me much more curious than put me off. In any case, oak and birch are wonderful woods.

And this balsamic cabreuva, unknown to me, hovers over everything. Golden Wood is mysterious and truly golden.
The sillage isn't as strong as the skin longevity. In return, I can enjoy this soul-caressing fragrance for myself.

Crystal star or curiosities in the creepy lab
I bought Talento blind based on the descriptions. The friendly previous owner lovingly described it as wild strawberry and mint. So, if anything tastes even better than strawberries, it's wild strawberries. And with rose on top of that..., what more could I want?

I've been saving his test for a long time for a special moment.
Well, a really inconspicuous little fragrance appeared on the bottle (a pretty thing). Could it be that it only unfolds on the skin?
When I tested it on my arm, a laboratory bottle of formaldehyde immediately appeared in my mind's eye.
Ok, another noseful...Nope, now I see a curiosity pickled in formaldehyde in Dr. Frankenstein's creepy laboratory.
I really had the feeling that this poisonous water was penetrating my veins and I could literally feel its bitterness on my tongue!

Completely irritated, I then asked my husband for his opinion. He just said it smelled like bay leaves.

With such controversial perceptions, I like to ask for several opinions. My friend also testified that no earth berry, no rose and no mint were noticeable.

For Talento, however, there is a happy ending.

In search of even more reviews, my dearest fragrance friend was allowed to sniff it.
What can I tell you? It was a match.

She describes Talento like a skiing vacation in the snow, mountain quartz or a shining crystal. She can even imagine the scent of a star.
Oh, how wonderful she thinks it is.
I'm delighted that he has found his way to her after all and makes her happy.

Where does the citrus come from?
When I unpacked it, I immediately thought of an elegant potpourri air freshener for the bathroom.
I was very surprised at how fresh the perfume was on my skin.
It's actually really citrusy.
My expectation was actually sweet-fruity-floral.
Oakmoss is supposed to be more mossy, earthy, woody and full-bodied.
Where does this citrus power come from?
A really exciting fragrance up close and in detail. Sometimes caramelly, sometimes slightly fruity-floral, but always with a dominant freshness that I can only describe as lemony.
That is probably also the small flaw.
Unfortunately, this makes the aura feel a little too much like an air freshener. H/S upper average.

The crux of the association
Ru-fi-O, Ru-fi-O, Ru-fi-O...
Do you know the daredevil with the characteristic haircut from the movie "Peter Pan" with Robin Williams?
Rufio was one of my first blind purchases using the description on EssenceVitae. I really wanted to know what the famous real Walko*e smells like.
Plus an ominous red champaca.
Nevertheless, I was put off by the price. The sympathetic owner was also able to completely convince me (through her floral experience of the fragrance) to want this perfume.

The first 3 seconds were just as she described. A sandy beach with warm-sweet flowers and sea spray.
After that, a smell (all too familiar to me) blew me away.
I perceive it as AgarAgar. You probably know this vegan product as a vegetarian gelatine substitute.
However, it is also used as a culture medium in Petri dishes, e.g. in microbiology. As I work a lot with contaminated (and stinking to high heaven) culture media, I associate the smell of agar agar with negative things.
My perfume colleague (who has since allowed Rufio to move in with her) finds it algae/seaweed-like and it therefore gives her an air of the sea.
It's nice that her whole family likes it...

As I am a typical Swiss mountain heidi, I like rocky stones, clear mountain springs, fragrant herb and flower meadows and prefer shady forests.
Sizzling in the blazing sun on a flat beach, with sand in every orifice and a salty sea fish breeze, is not my thing.
My colleague will take Rufio with her on her beach vacation and compare it with here.
I can well imagine that he will really come into his own in his natural surroundings.
One more note, the perfume is dark brown and rubs off on clothing.

I think Rufio is a great example of how individually we perceive fragrances. Would I have liked Rufio better without my connection to AgarAgar and the beach?
