Sweet fruit fresh from the smoker! I can't smell the peach clearly, it could also be rhubarb, more on that later.
The smoke is only pungent in the opening. Ultimately, the fragrance is a balanced composition and envelops you in a pleasant, elegant, warm and sweet-spicy aura.
Although the smoky aromas tend to be masculine in my opinion, the fragrance is definitely unisex.
Solid performance. However, and now back to the rhubarb, I see it as a slightly darker version of Encelade. And it's available for a fifth of the price with bombastic quality and somewhat more digestible smoky aromas.

I can only counter the charming and mysterious reviews of the previous speakers with one simple word:
Incense sticks.
Warm spices on a dark woody base. As the fragrance fades, they are also accompanied by a subtle and clean sweetness.
Despite the smoky aroma, the fragrance is ultimately unisex and there is no need to be afraid of esoteric aromatic wafts, like from a hippie flat share in the 90s:
The sillage is (merely) rock-solid with decent longevity and prevents 1888 from becoming an overwhelmingly sultry beast.

Red and blue snakes of fruit gum twine on the branches of the blossoming tropical plants.
Nevertheless, ripe tuberose and jasmine notes make this a true chameleon. Youthfully dazzling and classically elegant at the same time.
In my opinion, after much toing and froing, it is unfortunately only suitable for the Amazons among us.
A tick more unisex and the fragrance would have moved into my collection.
H/S pretty okay.

Green, sweet and refreshing. Like an open-air shower at a resort on a tropical island.
Even though I would have expected something fruity or floral with the paradisiacal name. And there is something and I am irritated not to read about it in the fragrance pyramid or in other reviews -
Am I the only one smelling a coconut note here?

Perhaps I don't really understand the concept of Aquaten. But: where is the perfume here?
I feel surrounded by a fresh and clean haze all day long. Without soapiness, without clearly identifiable fragrance chords.
The salt tingles slightly in the nose, a dark greenness resonates in the depths of this black sea.
I cannot detect any floral or woody components.
However, this fragrance (for me more appropriately "haze") is of high quality. H/S are upper class, the fragrance is not intrusive, but pleasant and universally applicable. Unisex as well.
