Balanced versatile fresh, fruity, sweet, woody, spicy blend, a unisex signature scent of sorts.
Sampling Vivamor Parfums Dubai Reverie, part of the latest quintet of releases from this past December. It’s a versatile, fresh, spicy, aromatic blend, a very balanced mix of fruits, ginger, vanilla, woods, vetiver, amber, and musk, seemingly a formula to get to a very pleasant place. This is among the best examples in the Vivamor/Navitus catalogue of a rather unisex signature scent; in fact, none other comes to mind that accomplishes this quite as well. It’s very useful, though it lacks some of the more daring, interesting aspects of a few of the other releases from this latest fivesome that I’ve already sampled.
Still, I very much like that in most of the larger collections there’s an option like this that’s a bit of a jack of all trades, something that’s classy, comforting, and does not overwhelm stylistically in any one category. The closet comparisons that come to mind from Vivamor are Akoya and Urbane, though Dubai Reverie strikes me as a bit superior to both, perhaps in the realm of Soleil Matin from Navitus in terms of being a versatile somewhat-freshie, but it performs better than the absolute freshies of Navitus or Vivamor.
Like the rest of the line, this is priced at $125 for 100ml, a decrease, in fact, from the prior Vivamor (and most common current Navitus releases’) pricing of $145 for 100ml, still in extrait pricing, with discounts available, so it’s hard to knock this price point for a great fragrance in the current market. It’s for sale both at the house website as well as great boutiques like Perfumology.
