I was inspired and really used it as a wedding fragrance, I haven't regretted the decision for a moment!
Such a sensual and comforting perfume, I love it.
It probably fits best in the cooler season, but we had almost 30 degrees on our day and it still suited me very well.
I took the small bottle to take with me - but the large one is of course much nicer...

I will never forget this fragrance again, that's for sure!

A sparkling praline with florals

I've tested every perfume Kayali has offered since I've ventured into this magnificent journey that is perfume. When I heard they were releasing a limited edition set of two, I never hesitated and went straight for the samples.

Silk Santal was the one I was the most interested in trying out among the two. At first spray, I did detect a sparkling, fruity accord. It made me think of of rock pops, those little fun sweet candies that pop in your mouth. After a few minutes, a floral accord made up of mature roses and white flowers unfurl before my nose. There's a nice hint of fresh fruity sweetness that rises because of the nectarine. The praline makes an appearance by further enhancing the sweetness while also lending a powdery and sugary aspect to everything. Much later, there's finally a woody vanilla aspect because of the amberwood, sandalwood and vanilla absolute. Musk almost goes into the dirty territory, but thankfully the other notes kept it in check. The drydown gives off this warm, sensual accord that contrasts with its beginning. I know that Mona was the one who worked on this perfume and I think it fits her quite well: feminine, bubbly, sophisticated woman. It has a bigger sillage than its dark counterpart, but is not as heavy. The perfume also layers itself quite well with its darker counterpart, lending a sweetness that tempers the strong woody and musky accord.

I think the marketing is spot on when referring to the fact that Mona and her husband Hassan worked on it specially for their special day. I find that this one is closer to what I'd wear at a wedding (although not completely), but it's also a nice perfume fit for daily use. There is a clear change in the notes that pull through on the skin and it's lovely to see it evolving like that. I know I'm not an expert in fragrance, but I find this perfume is a bit more unique (almost niche) if compared to the other perfumes that Kayali offers. I've sincerely never smelled anything that ressembles it (up until now). Unfortunately, I think the powdery note that comes from the praline is a bit too strong and this is the reason it won't make it in my collection BUT I might come back to it later and change my mind, just like what happened with Sweet Diamond Pink Pepper.

EDIT: Well like I suspected, I let it rest for a few days and when I got back to it, the perfume caught my nose. Because it's so different than what I have smelled yet, I just might be adding a full bottle (it's a LE, so why not?)

How do you recognize a good fragrance? For me, it's the fact that the perfume was not just bought once for stock, but that the supply bottle already has a supply bottle. Liquid assets.
I bought the fragrance because of good TikTok marketing: one of the best Kayali fragrances, you have to have it. Well, Kayali now has its own online store that delivers to Germany, so there's no reason not to order it. What could possibly happen? The fragrance notes also looked very much to my taste. Expectations were high, but the first spray was a disappointing experience. Smells like Musk 12 and Vanilla 28 layered together. I was confused. So I let 1-2 days pass before spraying it again.

And then: Wow! The fragrance has transformed from the initial Musk12+Vanilla28 combination into something fresh, sensual, slightly tangy and fresh. A great summer fragrance that smells of body heat and flirtation. No campfire warmth, more like cocktails at the bar in the evening, outside under a starry sky, in a cream-colored cocktail dress. Light and elegant at the same time. A sweet floral note, fruity, tart champagne, followed by vanilla. Perfect for dates. It is present, yet not at all intrusive. Playful yet mature and feminine.

If there was now a 100ml bottle, the date would be perfect.

Once again a successful Kayali !

Is this fragrance. The opening is fresh and sweet, you can actually smell this "sparkling" champagne note, I don't smell blackcurrant like that. Then the fragrance becomes a little more floral, fruity and sweet. The perfect blend of everything, the fragrance composition is very rounded. Rose and orange blossom give minimal "bubblegum vibes". Later, a little more florality comes through, but the fragrance remains sweet and fruity throughout, a little creamy, but the whole thing is always "grown-up", you can smell that the fragrance is of high quality and not a tutti frutti mix from the drugstore. I really like the fragrance. The only drawback is really the durability and sillage: more is more here, the fragrance really hardly radiates, it is really close to the skin, and you have to take many sprays if you want the fragrance to be noticed. It lasts 4-5 hours on the skin, but a good 7-8 hours on textiles. Overall, this is a high-quality fragrance, but it has an expandable H&S. Given the price (just under €100/50ml), this is definitely a factor to consider. Personally, however, I accept this because the fragrance is really great!

Beautiful fragrance with many BUTs

I really like the scent. This one is a soft fruity sweet praline at the beginning and then develops into Vanilla 28

BUT:
1) Unfortunately, a very strong alcohol smell at the beginning (as with almost all Kayali's).
2) The longevity is really not good.
3) In my eyes, this fragrance is more of a skin scent. I only notice it when I stick my nose to my skin. If you want a stronger sillage, you have to spray a lot and the consumption is high.
