It brings back memories of a very well-known fragrance
Embla is very reminiscent of a Montale Intense Cafe. The Intense Cafe has coffee listed, but admittedly I never smelled the coffee strongly. For me, it was always primarily a sweet, oriental rose scent.
That's exactly what Embla is for me too.
The fragrance opens directly with this noticeable, powerful rose.
After a few seconds, the rose loses some of this strong intensity, but is still very present. We also have the familiar musk from Montale Intense Cafe.
After about half an hour, the rose gains some sweetness.
Now we have a rather sweet and oriental-tinged rose fragrance.
Towards the end, a little vanilla is added.
Otherwise, we simply have this mix of rose, musk and a little sugar.
Admittedly, I somehow can't recognize the listed aquatic notes and the lemon.
All in all, the fragrance is quite neat. Unfortunately, it just doesn't quite meet my personal taste. I didn't like the Intense Cafe by Montale that much either.
For me, Embla is actually the winner in a direct comparison, as it seems a little milder, sweeter and less projecting to me.
