A sweet seduction with a pleasing DNA
Pera from MAD Parfumeur is a superficially sweet fragrance with an oriental twist. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it is still beautiful and appealing. However, if you don't like it sweet, you are completely wrong here, because Pera is really sweet.
The fragrance starts directly with this pleasing but strong sweetness.
In my opinion, it comes across as synthetic, but that's not a bad thing in this case.
The sweetness hints at tonka bean, but it is not listed.
I had read in a review that one could also suspect a date and yes, I would also subscribe to that.
But you can also generally sense the sandalwood-amber blend listed in the base. This makes the fragrance very creamy and we also have this fruity sweetness from the apple.
The fragrance also develops relatively quickly in a spicy, warm way.
Some pepper, but above all the saffron is more active as a spicy component. But this is by no means a Baccarat Rouge saffron, don't worry.
All in all, a very nice fragrance and the third fragrance from MAD Parfumeur that I have been able to test so far.
I thoroughly enjoyed all three.
