Can I have another tangerine?
The opening puts you in a good mood. The first moments are dominated by fresh, mandarin citrus with the magical effect of a vacation orangina. However, just as quickly as the childlike happiness on the beach in Ravenna runs out, so does the opening of this perfume and the fear grows: there will be no second helping. Again.
It doesn't take long before Mystic Moss is where you would expect it to be. Cardamom and the base set the tone. Patchouli, vetiver and incense create an oriental, mystical aura - primarily oriental, but somehow also mystical, after all. However, I don't come across the eponymous moss. In my mind, I keep coming back to "Une Nuit à Bali - Mr. Vetiver | Une Nuit Nomade". It also says moss on it and I don't smell it. Instead, the cardamom has more steam and the vetiver is clearer and less embedded than in Mystic Moss. A matter of taste, what you prefer.
After two hours, I'm skin-deep and the sillage issue is over. I could imagine that summer temperatures would carry the fragrance a little further. Unfortunately, due to the lack of summer, this is just a thought. The following is striking: Apart from the brilliant opening, the fragrance is at its best now. A well-rounded blend, a great whole with spices, citrus, a pinch of Orient, vetiver, subtle cardamom and perhaps even moss. A 9 at least, just far too quiet.
Quintessence? I can't break Mystic Moss down that far. A summary will have to do. A short, metonymic orangina spectacular, then cardamom in the Orient and finally a conclusion that is as quiet as it is round. I will certainly put the perfume on again depending on the occasion, but I am mainly concerned with the question of whether there is a fragrance suitable for men that preserves the opening. Children should not know that Orangina is not only available in the expensive 0.25 glass bottle, but also in 1.5L PET. That gives us hope.
