Rosie Rose

This is a very light sweet perfume...skin scent musk and dreamy rose. Does not have good lasting power, but it's a lovely bedtime scent! I have a sample. If you like similar soft skin scents, try the Sephora Favorites Spa Day Set of samplers!
Because of the simple scent and the fact that it doesn't last long, I will not buy a full bottle.
I am interested in smelling other Rosie Jane perfumes- I hear their Dulce release is a yummy vanilla chocolate!

Unexpectedly light and beautiful

I have a love-hate relationship with both rose and musk. If these notes are too pungent or too artificially sweet, I'm out.
Accordingly, I carefully spray two spritzes of Rosie from the by rosie jane discovery set on my arm and smell....
...NOTHING at first.
huh? is my nose broken?
As I walk through my apartment to make myself a coffee, somewhat disappointed (and somewhat relieved that the scent is at least not unpleasant), I am greeted by a fluffy, light cloud of Skin-Scent. A bit like a mixture of Glossier-You and Juliette has a Gun. I smell my arm in disbelief. Is that Rosie?
Spoiler: This IS the Rosie who is getting more beautiful by the minute! Half an hour later, the skin scent has developed even further: Into a dream of freshly washed, soft light pink silk lingerie drying in a rose garden under the Warm Sun.
And so the fragrance from the Discoveryset that I least expected is the one that I will soon be picking up a full size of.

Unusual

An unusual rose scent, Rosie Jane created an almost musty smelling fragrance that I neither like nor dislike. I’m right in the middle here.
It comes out strange and dry down is no different. There’s no complexity here, and it’s very light in nature. It’s almost as if I was misted by rose water as I walked through the garden.
It’s for someone who wants a fragrance, but not a heavy one. No one will notice you unless you are hugged, but sometimes that’s exactly what we want. I can barely smell it on myself, and I say barely because sometimes I catch a whiff and it’s nice.
I’m not in love, but I’ll go out on casual dates with this one every so often.

A fragrance like delicate silk underwear or rose petals that caress the skin, rosy and very soft. It remains very intimate, very close to the body. If you want to smell it, you have to get very close. When A Rose is Not A Rose

I wanted to smell a big, open rose with a hint of vanilla. Instead, I got a whiff of someone’s clean, deodorized armpit, their deodorant of choice powdery & unscented. Rosie is a synthetic, musky ambroxan on my skin & smells exactly like Not A Perfume by JHAG. It does have good longevity, as I applied a decent portion of my sample before bed & still smell it after waking & washing. It’s not a bad scent, just uninspiring, bringing to mind gray office cubicles & no-fluff detergents that get the job done with respect to sensitive noses. Possibly good for layering, suitable for the office or gym (as it sits within a tight, personal bubble), but unfortunately, she is too unassuming for my small perfume tray. Test before buying.
