Bubblegum & Tobacco (Montale Oud Tobacco Dupe)
The Azha brand is probably a household name for very few people.
A sub-brand of Rasasi from which I have now also treated myself to the first fragrance.
Cigar Oud is supposed to be a dupe of Oud Tobacco.
That naturally made me prick up my ears.
I never tested the original, but I read the opinions about it here on EssenceVitae and decided to buy it for little money.
What can I say?
I found the opening unpleasant and was therefore immediately disappointed.
Quite bubblegumy, sweet, earthy and somehow anything but "cigar" or "oud".
You just have to give the fragrance a little time to develop.
In the DD, I notice the tobacco more.
But it is not tobacco that is smoky.
The smokiness from the tobacco/incense is hardly noticeable at all, perhaps very minimally.
Honey-sweet bubblegum and tobacco are more in focus here, with a certain freshness and earthiness.
All of this in this combination takes some getting used to, I have to say.
Towards the end, it becomes warmer, sweeter and more pleasant, thanks to the amber.
Nevertheless, you can never get rid of this bubblegum note.
You have to like it, otherwise it can be quite annoying.
In terms of performance, Cigar Oud knows how to convince.
Lasts 7-8 hours on my skin.
On clothes, probably until the laundry ends up in the washing machine.
Radiance was good to strong in the first 2 hours.
The fragrance definitely has its
Rough edges and will not appeal to everyone.
I would definitely advise against a blibdbuy here.
I liked it myself in the first few days, then I was annoyed by the scent and now I'm undecided.
I find it neither cool nor bad.
But as a final plus point, you have to give Cigar Oud credit for smelling quite unique.
I've already tested/worn a few hundred fragrances and have never smelled anything like it before.
