Without umbrella, without charm - but with bowler hat!

Nothing beats a ripe, juicy watermelon for dessert in the summer. Simple and great forever. The hard-skinned fruit rarely makes an appearance in perfumes. Why "Watermelons" by Shay & Blue gives clues.

Watermelons in fragrances seem impossibly... watery? Cheap? Sucked through? Bubblegum-like? Annoying? Flat? Buffoonish? Chemical? Showery? Unnatural? Unattractive? Unpleasant?
Take your pick. A little bit of everything. Especially in the case of "Watermelons", whose green synthetics give me a migraine in my melon. The vetiver is not to be guessed, the tea tie stings and is too long, the melon is anything but hit from its chocolate side. More radioactive and childish than elegant and airy. I can't wear it like that.

Melodies for melons

When I think of the brand Shay & Blue, I immediately think of their "Salt Caramel". A phenomenal gourmand scent that immediately reminds of warm popcorn. For me, absolutely successful and accordingly high were my expectations with "Watermelon".

However, this turns out to be far from any watermelon. Only if you know what theme is to be staged, you can steer an approximate thought in the direction of melons between all the synthetics with hairspray character.
This is neither authentic, refreshing, or otherwise successful.

Accordingly, I'll keep it relatively short here. While I am not an expert on watermelon fragrances, but I think there are far better in this area. Who can live with the artificial hint of melon and rather the slight approach of green tea, which can ggfs. what gain the whole thing, otherwise you can save the testing confidently. This fragrance has neither umbrella, charm and unfortunately no melon.
