The vintage was an opulent Russian mystery

"Taina" or "Mystere" by the Russian company Novaya Zarya used to be similar to the classic "Fendi" which unfortunately disappeared from the shelves some years ago. "Mystery" was very spicy, oriental, rich and expressive. Some Russian friends of mine perceived a certain similiarity to "Opium" by YSL in this perfume, but in my opinion it was much closer to the above mentioned "Fendi". Anyway, I guess you get the idea. The current 2014 formula I tried a few days ago bears no resemblance to the old "Taina". Reformulation ruined it. Should you be able to lay your hands on a bottle produced before 2010, grab it.
