A sweet elegance that conveys a little Christmas flair
Perpetual is a really nice feel-good fragrance. It reminds me a little of Christmas.
Nevertheless, I don't find it too sweet and super wearable as a perfume.
The fragrance exudes a certain sweet elegance and is rounded off beautifully with light floral accents.
For me, Perpetual starts directly with this wonderful almond-cherry mix. This combination is immediately sweet, but pleasant. It also has a slightly "tart" effect. I suspect that the ginger is making its mark here.
It doesn't bring the usual freshness that you're used to from it, but simply this slightly tart flair. Fits really well and I like it.
You can also immediately sense a few floral accents that do the fragrance good and round it off a little.
The longer the fragrance lies on the skin, the more the other sweet notes come through. A super nice tonka bean, some sugar and vanilla complete the fragrance.
Furthermore, you can feel a cinnamon veil enveloping the Perpetual throughout The way cinnamon works here reminds me a little of an Oajan from Parfums de Marly, for example.
Nevertheless, these two fragrances definitely don't smell the same, to make that clear again.
The sweet accords, together with the sandalwood, also make the fragrance creamier and creamier over time.
For me, there is room for improvement in terms of durability and sillage.
There could be a little more, but it's still perfectly fine.
