In and of itself a quite successful women's fragrance
It's the weekend, I have time, so I can unpack a vintage fragrance again. It also makes sense to compare the Teatro alla Scala Eau de Toilette with the Teatro alla Scala Eau de Parfum (the review of the Eau de Parfum will follow later today). Here, I am dealing with a full miniature from a collection liquidation. Fortunately, I can't detect an "aging fragrance". I don't think the fragrance is bad, but it doesn't have a "WOW" effect on me. At the beginning, I find the scent quite strong and intense, but after about 4-5 hours, the durability decreases considerably and it smells very close to the skin. The sillage is quite good at the beginning and, logically, drops off similarly over time.
The top note starts citrusy thanks to bergamot but also soapy thanks to coriander. Aldehydes also provide a hint of bitter almonds. The heart note is chypre and extremely floral. Rose geranium, garden carnations, ylang-ylang, tuberose, jasmine and rose water create a sea of flowers. The base has an earthy, green, sweet, animal, musky, woody, balsamic and rooty scent of civet, patchouli, vetiver and oakmoss.
For me, the overall composition is somehow too heavy at the end. I am surprised at how quickly the fragrance evaporates - or does it make me "nose-blind"?
