Top new discovery
Before we get to the fragrance, this is my very first proper EssenceVitae review, so please forgive me if anything doesn't sound clear.
The house of Initio was my discovery in 2023, especially fragrances such as Paragon, Absolute Aphrodisiac, the latest release Narcotic Delight and the aforementioned Blessed Baraka
The fragrance has something very special, it is dark woody on the one hand, but also sweet at the same time.
As soon as I spray it on, I notice a light cherry note, not a fresh and pungent one, but a rather dark, seductive one.
Over time, Blessed Baraka becomes darker and more mythical, for me also a little smokier.
In the drydown, the vanilla note comes through very well, but is accompanied or overshadowed by the very strong sandalwood note.
All in all, the fragrance is fruity at the beginning due to the cherry, after a while it becomes darker and not quite definable, at the end it is dominated by the sandalwood note and accompanied by a beautiful vanilla.
I don't think I need to say anything about the bottle, a classic, beautiful Initio bottle in black with the red emblem on the front.
In terms of longevity and sillage, I can say that it lasts a good 9-10 hours on my skin and is clearly perceptible for a good 7-8 hours.
