...don't think about brutal video games now...!
Baraka. I don't know what you mean by that (well, a baraka is a blessing in the Islamic faith), but something completely different comes to mind. Something that underlines my nerd existence here once again with a thick (and NOT water soluble) felt-tip pen. Cause it's something from a video game. Or rather, a character from a video game. And a quite brutal fighting game in which limbs and innards fly through the area... :D

Baraka, from Mortal Kombat. A character with razor-sharp teeth in his mouth and long blades on his wrists, making him one of the deadliest characters in the game. A bad guy you'd rather not meet in the dark. Well, not even during the day. Oh, you just have to google him, then you know what I mean :D

But all this probably doesn't interest you, especially if I write that Mortal Kombat is not only a video game, but one of the most ultra-brutal fighting games ever... but even if I know this series (and therefore know some characters with names...) and have gambled I'm still really dear and not a brutally disturbed psychopath... but never anyone *sigh*
believes me.. Perhaps it will help if I mention that my hangover is many times more brutal than I am? D

Well, then I'll come to the scent,... and finally stop calling me a freak, because I know for a fact that you did this all the time while reading my introduction... *sigh*

The fragrance:
The fragrance begins with musk and smells accordingly sweet. But I also smell tobacco and fruity notes in the top note, which are strangely not listed here.
In addition to the musk, one also smells a strong, woody note, which over time turns out to be more and more sandalwood.
A little later musk and sandalwood smell stronger. Vanilla is now also added, making the fragrance even sweeter and giving it soft, powdery notes.
I continue to smell sandalwood and sweet notes later, with the sweetness coming more from the vanilla, but you can still smell the musk a little. And this feeling with the fruity notes as well as the tobacco remains with me furthermore...

The Sillage and the shelf life:
The Sillage is strong, you can smell the scent for a while on normal and even bigger distances, because you leave a nice, bigger scent cloud behind. It is therefore better not to overdo the dosage.
The durability is also quite good. There are certainly more than twelve hours in it, so you don't have to worry that the fragrance will eventually no longer be smellable for others.

The bottle:
The bottle is black and rectangular. On the front you can see a diamond-shaped label or plaque with beautiful, curved and red patterns. The lid is black and rectangular. On the top of the lid, a chrome-plated badge has been affixed showing the name and the stamp. Looks pretty nice.

Baraka from Initio...
Yes, I'm thinking here of this character described in the introduction, which I don't even like by the way. And now I have to think of the fact that a hot girl from this series of games also has characteristics of Baraka's people, ... Mileena ... arrrrr, ... she already looks hot, ... if only she didn't have that mouth with razor sharp teeth, mu ha ha ha!
Argh, I seem to be really desperate to find her hot *sigh* :DD

Be that as it may, the fragrance on the other hand is somehow beautifully soft, although it is already very woody. But the combination of musk and sandalwood works wonderfully. Normally I would say that the fragrance is unisex, but the vanilla that comes a little later makes the fragrance quite feminine in the end.

Due to its strong sillage and the nice scent, it is very suitable for going out, especially in autumn, because vanilla is not suitable for summer. Yes, the fragrance is beautiful and worth testing!

Sensual, sweet-spicy musk with seduction guarantee!
In every house there are the "hypes", at Xerjoff it is for example "XJ 1861 Naxos | XerJoff" , or Erba Pura , at PDM it is for example Layton . With Initio, from my point of view, it is the Side Effect, the Oud for Greatness or the Musk Therapy . Then there are fragrances - like the Blessed Baraka - which are fortunately and unfortunately not rightly in the shadow of the greats, the real "hidden champions".

The Blessed Baraka is a really beautiful sweet-spicy musk fragrance, whose class lies in its simplicity and perfect balance. What I mean by that?

- The fragrance has a "simple" structure, very much musk, vanilla, amber, white flowers and sandalwood. Nevertheless, the fragrance manages to smell extremely high-quality and creative, while delivering a really great H/S. Partly you really hear cherry, even if not officially listed.

- At the start, it is a dark, sweet seducer that projects intensely. Then joins a spicy accord to it with a touch of amber, which smells but not as animalic as in the prelude of Grand Soir, but rather sweet-spicy. The overall picture then already seems as if cherry must also be included.

- The durability and sillage are simply top with this fragrance, no Beastmode, but a definitely striking, potent fragrance

For me it is an ideal companion for the evening, for dates or for colder days and I would not want to miss this "underdog" actually also in my collection. Again; test before you buy, because for untrained noses the charge musk is always tricky; but it is definitely not a light musk as in "Freshies", but a dark sensual musk!

Light wood with a breeze of sugar
Rather the lighter version of wood with a pinch of sugar and a lot of spring..very light but still sweet..you don't get that often. For my taste a bit too sweet for wood..but quite pleasant. Find a great tart scent for middle-aged women in spring.

Dark, mystical and pleasant
This Blessed Baraka I have tested a long time ago. It was with the first I tested from this brand. I liked him from the beginning, but so right purchase candidate this was not. If you have samples or bottlings this is nice because you can test them again at later times. Sometimes the mood decides whether you like a fragrance or not or would like to have or not. With this it was so with me: This I have recently sprayed again and this dark DNA I just liked better and better. Now I bought this for a relatively good price.
Overall, Initio is a brand that absolutely flashes me and the fragrances simply remain in memory and you feel comfortable with these creations. After Rehab, Musk Therapy and Side Effect already my fourth.

RRP is 225€ for this fragrance. This is fair with the quality, even if you get this significantly cheaper. Especially because this is not a bestseller and this unjustly little attention gets in my opinion.
Blessed Baraka is for me a dark fragrance. From the pyramid should not be influenced too much. The notes given are indeed present, whether this is so complete I dare to doubt. Like so many, I also perceive a cherry vibe, in addition to light boozy vibes. This makes this fragrance very unique and for me it is most likely a fragrance for the dark hours of the day.
To start, you get a very cherry vibe. Not like the usual cherry scents a la Lost Cherry, but rather boozy and dark. Also a nice dark spice is present. There is something dark and mystical about this opening in particular. It is pleasant, but not this typical crowdpleaser. This boozy note makes it special & unique, perfect not to smell like every 2nd in the "club". As it progresses it becomes more pleasing, even though there is not quite as much progression in this scent as most Initios. I like it well. As it progresses, the sandalwood note comes out well and convinces with a woody amber-vanilla-musk combo. The basic DNA of the opening but still resonates.
On the whole for me already underrated and would have deserved more attention. Here is no perfumer registered, but believe this fragrance comes from Alberto Morrillas. Often frowned upon, but in the niche he does great work for me.

Performance is very good. Perfect for the evening. Stands out and convinces. Sillage is at generous dosage already really good and also the durability should go into double digits. Expected but also at this price and this fragrance DNA.

Should check out if you like dark fragrances with sweet-woody spice. For the current autumn, this would be a good catch.

Unexpected love
"Take a quick trip to the Pieper perfumery" I thought to myself the week before last in Cologne city center to make the most of the hour.
I stood in front of the Initio shelf and sprayed a few fragrances directly onto my skin.
I immediately liked Paragon, after all, I had already tried this complex musk fragrance as a tester No sooner said than done, I bought Paragon and left. As you know, I sniffed my arms every few minutes until I noticed this irresistible drydown of this one fragrance on my hand

..." that smells really good now"...

I had to do some meticulous detective work on EssenceVitae: I smell vanilla - musk - a little woody - hmm maybe a cherry ...
That's when I found it ... blessed Baraka! Only the cherry was missing...

I smelled the scent on my hand for another 6 hours until it slowly faded.
It stayed with me and I bought the fragrance a week later.
Since then, the scent of dark vanilla, musk and a cherry that doesn't want to be named has embraced me every day. Privacy hold

Amber, musk, sandalwood. Linear but alluring, cozy and sweet scent whose sillage hits my nostrils by waves (Iso E super?). Perfect for cold.

Rehab meets Side Effect. Milky sandalwood meets boozy vanilla and some musky elements of Side Effect. Decent with great performances.
