The marriage of apple and leather at dispenser 2
The idea of combining apples with leather is like a fruit salad on a Harley - unexpected and exciting! Fully fueled, I hit the road. Next stop: Arpora Night Market.
FRAGRANCE
In this fragrance, the notes of apple and leather are clearly in the foreground for me. The apple is clearly perceptible throughout the entire duration of the perfume. Without it, the perfume would be too heavy. It is a red apple. Maybe a reddish-yellow apple, but it is definitely not a green apple. As for the leather: I find leathery fragrances difficult if the leather is too dominant. Fortunately, that is not the case here. The fruity sweetness of the apple envelops the leather in a charming way and takes away its distinctive punch. The result: the leather is striking, but it doesn't get on my nerves.
In the first 15 minutes, however, benzoin is very dominant. As a young boy, I liked and still like the smell of gas stations. That's why I like this component of "Slow Explosion". However, I also like the fact that benzoin recedes somewhat after 15 minutes and the note of leather gains more space.
The saffron adds a spicy and earthy nuance to the fragrance, which creates a successful bridge between the fruity apple and the smoky leather. The rose is rather subtle here, which is a good thing in my opinion. More rose would be too much rose. Interestingly, the rose note came out much stronger after I took a shower. But I have no explanation for this.
SUSTAINABILITY
The perfume goes full throttle as soon as you spray it on - slow, my ass. Even after around six hours, the fragrance still has enormous traction and remains clearly perceptible on the skin.
SILLAGE
I love those moments when an unexpected whiff of "Slow Explosion" reaches my nose and reminds me what perfume I'm wearing today. What happens next: A deep inhale through the nose, the head lifts a few centimeters, the nose swings slightly from left to right. After about three seconds, the fun is over and I'm back where I was three seconds ago.
FLAKON
The jar itself is rather simple and has a pleasant volume of 50 ml. There is a print on three sides of the container: a framed picture with a hand, triangles and fireworks on the front, the name of the perfume on the left and a practical list of ingredients on the back. The right-hand side is unglued and serves as a fill level indicator. The print paper is slightly textured and slightly reminiscent of suede. This gives the bottle a great feel in general! The only thing I don't like is the silver-colored plastic cap.
CONCLUSION
Currently one of my favorites: Really great fragrance combination, good longevity and therefore really good value for money. Of all the IA fragrances, "Slow Explosion" stands out for me in particular.
