So here it has carried you, an enchanted place between ancient firs that breathe Hesperian cool shadows, you see how they creep over the forest floors, the withered needles under hazy bark, which like spicy lichens on mulch earth, where sharp green herb stalks grow and tart-spicy licorice snails creep and ethereal breeze blows in waves there to the warped stone chapels.
