Attempt to deceive
The problem with some Galimard fragrances are not the fragances but the pypramide or the listed ingredients.
Also in this case of "Galimard Star". These listed ingredients are seemingly an attempt to deceive.
How can I dare claiming this? First of all I already tested a lot of parfumes and may see me as a little bit experienced. But furthermore I know some natural scents of flowers, herbs, fruits, wood etc.
To begin with Edelweiß. This peculiar flower has a genuine heavy and lush breathteaking sweet scent. But only until 5 cm distant from its blossom. So to say Edelweiß has a very short distance sillage.
In "Galimard Star" I did not detect any Edelweiß-flower-scent. So it might be ment the scent of the roots. Lotus and cotton flower? But describing how all the listed ingredients could smell or not is superfluous.
So, what am I perceiving with "Galimard Star" ?
The beginnig is strange green and tangy, woody and not sweet. Followed by an aquatic note and a synthetically but interesting flower-mixture. There is a faint touch of citrus to, and maybe some fruits like mango or avocado could be the reason for a creamy fruity note.
Cashmere? I am guessing a kind of special santal-wood-smell. But in the base notes santal is also mentioned.
And indeed, a santal, musc and vanilla mixture is appearing after 20 minutes. Basically "Galimard Star" is an intriguing fragrance, creamy-green, gourmand and definitely unique.
The longevitiy is moderate, the sillage is decent. I see "Galimard Star" as a feminine perfume.
