Psychedelic breakfast
Pepe had been staring at the salad bowl for hours. He couldn't help wondering if the hippie girl who lived with him really existed. One can imagine all sorts of things. Anyway, this morning there was no cooked lettuce. She wasn't there
Someone, possibly himself, had mixed the cilantro from the fridge with last night's harvest, the resinous grass flowers, and dressed it with lemon juice. This image moved Pepe through the bowl like a paisley wallpaper of homegrown, tart herbs and sorrel, the cardamom wasn't in the coffee today either, gave the mixture edge, and underneath there were still blades of grass from the garden, not even washed, along with the roots and damp earth flakes. He must have been thinking of something, he thought. And then salt.
Pepe took a deep breath. Yes, this was what a salad had to be like, like a psychedelic dream, like fresh-green harvest with tart herbs, with cardamom, earth and grass roots, dried, grated and steamed with resins, a fine tart edge to quartz. Pepe exhaled. Time to eat this stuff for breakfast.

"Cannabis Salata" amazes me all along the line, I did not expect such a concept from this house in this refined consistency. At the beginning, there is freshly harvested spicy-resinous cannabis, whose freshness is emphasized by the lemon, the green-moist leaves from the coriander, the harsher nuances from the cardamom and concealed at the same time. After about an hour, the green aromas are underscored by earthy, pungent vetiver, while relatively clean patchouli with the tart amber create the impression of resinous, pollum-like hash. The salty notes give the scent a fresh crust. Yet, at no time is it aquatic for me, rather light, tart-spicy and green. The psychedelic breakfast has a moderate effect for about six to seven hours.
