Green déjà vu
Am I the only one for whom "Lui Rochas" smells like a direct relative of "Sculpture Homme", but even more so "Antidote" by Viktor & Rolf?
But really so close, in the blind test I would have insisted that this is a new edition or a flanker of it.
And I'm not saying that antidote smells like sculpture, but..
Okay, okay... I'll take the trouble. So Antidote and Sculpture share the following notes:
Bergamot, orange blossom, lemon (grapefruit), mandarin, rose geranium, lily of the valley (vs. violet), amber, tonka bean, cedar.
Now these are only the matching notes (similar notes in brackets), but even without the notes in brackets it would be enough to recognize a sufficient match.
Somehow both have something green and balsamic about them, and while Antidote is more of a powdery, floral style, Sculpture is more of a fresh, cologne-style approach.
Anyway, my nostrils will ring every alarm bell when I hear Lui Rochas. For me, this is clearly a green, balsamic, slightly sweet scent that reminds me of these two,- and in a very positive way.
The result is a really good and pleasant smell, more interesting and expressive than Sculpture, but more portable than Antidote (for me this is simply more artwork than daily companion).
Really pleasant, charismatic, individual (people don't often smell like this), and even signature-worthy.
I strongly recommend you to test the fragrance, many will like it and it is really timeless.
