Starts masculine and ends almost feminine
The Vetiver Ambrato really surprised me. Especially because the opening is very old school and masculine, but the scent becomes much more feminine towards the end and drifts in a unisex direction. The longevity on my skin is good at around 10 hours. The sillage is more in the medium range.
The top note starts off decidedly green, spicy, leafy, woody and balsamic. I recognize galbanum, artemisia, wormwood but also lemon petitgrain. In the heart note, the forest aromas become more intense thanks to spruce needles and cedar wood. Cloves, allspice and nutmeg add a certain spiciness to the fragrance. There is also a hint of tobacco. The base is surprisingly very sweet with bourbon vanilla, amber, benzoin and subtle honey. It even reminds me a little of a mixture of Bogner Woman, Woman and Le Bain Eau de Parfum. Beautiful!
I really like Vetiver Ambrato and was pleasantly surprised. I would like to thank Will for the manufacturer sample.
