OHTOP Enters the Perfume World With a Collection of Five Unisex Fragrances

OHTOP Enters the Perfume World With a Collection of Five Unisex Fragrances

The French-Korean cosmetics brand unveils its first fragrance collection, consisting of the scents "Green Flannel", "Fleur d'Oh", "Ohsphalte""Paranoïaque" and "I Hate Rose".

Green Flannel - in memory of the first times

The stylistic act is often the desire to recreate the past. Over the years, Romeo was greatly influenced by his discoveries in fashion and perfumes, which sharpened his tastes. Hence this tribute to the first times, first loves, experiences and soothing memories. A fragrance as comforting as it is hyper-elegant.

Romeo Oh, founder of OHTOP

"Green Flannel" opens with a green-spicy top note of galbanum and the tangy freshness of mandarin. In the heart note, a floral bouquet of jasmine and violet unfolds, which is followed by a creamy, warm accord of ambroxan and tonka bean.

Fleur d'Oh - bare essentials

Any creator sooner or later finds himself confronted to the idea of simplicity. Feeling the lure to simplify again and again, until almost complete nakedness. In fact, we all seek an apparent carelessness concealing an actual sophistication.
This cologne is a perfume that becomes one with us in stark nakedness, exposing a studied casualness stating, “I am what I am”.

"Fleur d'Oh" exudes hints of Japanese shiso paired with the heady sweetness of neroli and the tangy freshness of Spanish yuzu. Green and woody aromas of petitgrain meet the floral tones of Tunisian orange blossom, surrounded by warm, earthy  cedarwood, moss and musk.

The two fragrances were created by perfumer Alexis Dadier.

Ohsphalte - urban tension

Inspired by urbanity under blazing heat, Ohsphalte is built like an olfactive monolith, blending a concrete accord with hints of flowers, woods, and leather. Conceptual, bold, and hooking.

"Ohsphalte" is dominated by the earthy note of concrete. Patchouli and floral nuances of iris, cistus and orange blossom add a sweet component, while cashmere and suede provide a soft, velvety texture. Paraguayan guaiac wood, musk and labdanum give the composition a warm and woody depth.

The fragrance was created by Anne-Sophie Behaghel

Paranoïaque - madness in the bottle

There comes a time when we have to break the rules and stop being too wise in order to access our own sense of style. A grain of madness is necessary to be creative, even when it seems strange and confusing to the rest of the world.

OHTOP

"Paranoïaque" is described as an uncompromising and bold fragrance that combines citrus, spices, green notes, florals and woods to create a surprising harmony of chaos.

The first splashes exude an intense note of fruity blackcurrant, accompanied by spicy coriander, green notes and ginger. In the heart, warm and raw notes of Gaïac unite with floral geranium, rose and woody nutmeg. An accord of intense oakmoss, tonka bean, patchouli and leather completes the fragrance.

The nose behind the creation is Christian Carbonnel a.k.a. Chris Maurice.

I Hate Rose - 'Style is the transformation of what we dislike'

Tremendous creations often take root in disliking something enough for us to revamp it into something else. Transformation is a true act of creation. Romeo doesn’t like the natural scent of roses, so he wanted to find a way to turn it into a perfume he adores. A metaphor for feeling confident about our duality and holding on to our creativity.

OHTOP

"I Hate Rose" is described as a modern interpretation of the classic rose, refreshed with green and fruity accents, and finally ending in a woody base note.

The fragrance opens with a fresh fruity and slightly spicy note of bergamot, pink pepper and tangerine. In the heart notes, blackcurrant and raspberry add an intense fruitiness, while geranium and rose exude floral notes and rhubarb contributes a slightly acidic nuance. Finally, cashmere wood, concrete and musk provide depth to the fragrance.

The composition was created by Amélie Bourgeois.
