An Ode to Freedom: The New Fragrance "Un Été" by Obvious

The young niche fragrance brand presents "Un Été", its new unisex fragrance that combines spicy, sweet and creamy notes.

"Body and soul are warmed and liberated by the sun. This sacred spectacle is: Un Été."
— Obvious

The composition begins with a fresh, spicy blend of ginger oil, clementine and tangerine oil. At the heart of the fragrance, tart green matcha notes meet floral orange blossom absolute and herbaceous mate oil. Finally, in the base notes, warm vanilla bean extracts merge with tonka bean absolute and balsamic oil from Peru to create a creamy and sweet fragrance experience.

The name of the fragrance, which means "One Summer," is a tribute to freedom and is meant to evoke the creamy notes of sunscreen on the skin after a day at the beach. The composition was created by perfumer Meabh McCurtin.

Although Obvious has only been on the market since 2020, its founder is a familiar face in the world of niche fragrances. Behind the brand is David Frossard, co-founder of fragrance houses Frapin and Liquides Imaginaires.

Obvious' philosophy is to combine sustainability with modern luxury in an elegant yet simple way. To achieve this, the brand relies on natural ingredients in the production of its concentrates, but does not completely exclude the use of synthetic substances. To minimize its environmental impact, Obvious uses organic diluting alcohol, bottles made of recycled glass, cork caps and recyclable cardboard boxes printed with natural dyes.

"Un Été" is presented in a sleek, transparent bottle with black block lettering and a cork cap.

The fragrance is available in a bottle size of 100 ml.
