Gucci Guilty Absolute

I recently got into fragrances when a friend of mine purchased a bottle of Pineapple Vintage Intense for me November 2022. After I received that bottle I was getting so many compliments and it took me back to when I was 13 and my friends and I were wearing things like Polo Sport, Nautica Competition, the original Nautica, Tommy Hilfiger, and my favorite Hugo Boss. I love how fragrances are like benchmarks in time very similar to wine and though I titled this gucci guilty absolute it was actually pineapple vintage that rekindled my love for fragrances and began my journey that will not end until I die. Now, I said all of that to say this. After the PV intense I found myself purchasing a lot of mainstream crowd pleasers like bleu de Chanel which is fantastic! Tommy Bahama St Barts such an inexpensive different kind of tropical fragrance that I love and the vibe it puts off I can’t get enough. I was on a freshy frenzy if you could call it that. Acqua Di Gio and flankers of course I had to get them!   and you already know I had to get Dior sauvage EDP… Eventually I began to dive into deeper darker fragrances. It was curiosity mostly, I wanted to understand why people enjoyed smelling like leather or tobacco. The mistakes I made along the way were bad. I started out with a knock off of Ombre Leather from Tom Ford which is a true masterpiece of a fragrance. I bought the Maison Al Hambra version Amber Leather. I tried to like it but I knew that I didn’t like it honestly. I used it as car freshener bc it basically lasted days. I layered it with other semi dark fragrances which kind of helped. Needless to say my first experience with leather in fragrance was bad, but we will get back to that. My next venture was tobacco which is currently my favorite note in fragrances. When I see tobacco in a note line up I get straight up giddy like a Kid! Once again I bought a clone, but this time it was a really good one. Charruto Mystery Tabac from Pendora Scents which is Paris Corner. Anyways, my initial reaction was not good, but I gave it some time and I noticed that I was getting a lot of positive attention wearing this fragrance! One time I went into Mcds and one of the girls that works there followed me to my car, I turned around and she was like right there in my face!! She says, “what you got on?” So I told her and she said daaaamn you smell good and who doesn’t love a good compliment here and there right? I was learning about situational application and fragrance openings as compared to drydowns which a lot of people don’t know but the drydown really is the bulk of the fragrance. I learned about maceration and if you don’t like a fragrance at first put it on the shelf let some time pass come back to it again weeks, months etc later and try it again you may surprise yourself.  So without taking you all through the entire journey I’m gonna skip a few steps to where I finally decided after doing some research I was going to try Gucci Guilty Absolute a fragrance by the king himself Alberto Morillas. I ordered a decant from Best Brands Perfumes, shout out to Uncle Chris!! And I was floored! This fragrance has changed my entire perspective on fragrances overall! I will be getting a bottle even tho it’s discontinued I’m going for the big bottle!! This fragrance is so good it has a little citrus it’s got spices like crazy woods such a masculine man’s fragrance all based in this beautiful leather!!   the vibe I got from this fragrance is unmatched and it’s not a big compliment puller but I do not care it makes me feel kind of edgy bold and confident and I know it’s a colder weather fragrance but this is a signature for me! I love the world of fragrances for so many reasons, variety is endless!’ We have broken fragrances down into categories but the truth is those categories are just vague boxes that we label things as to help us organize what is what in our minds. Smells are such a unique thing as we are spirit soul and body therefore our senses are connected to our spirit.
