Revision of my statement from a year ago.

The oud shaves,
the mushroom irritates.
Cocoa with a pinch of muff,
Yes, tell me, am I here in.... Paradise?

Oud in its most beautiful form.
Paired with cocoa and mushrooms.
Livened up by barely relevant accessories.
I was obviously not quite ready for this treasure.

Linear progression.
Powerful, but not too boomy.
Unusual notes mean that fragrance blindness does not exist even after hours.
Rather something to enjoy and philosophize about than the new Daily.

Nevertheless or precisely because of this: a place in my heart.

The scent of darkness
One. The black veil of a barn, laughs blurred in rumpled earth begin to simmer. The hazy fruit of cattle. To coal the walls of pine. The scent of darkness. Two. The smoke. It drives you out with the animals, into the storm of chewing dust, into the wilderness, you breathe your leathery skin, the wooden mycelia of costus. Three. Milestones sink in vapors of sweet mossy swamps. They bore numbers. Four. Sprawl soft roots in damp clay, sprout sweet champaca blossoms of cream in the leathery landscape above, in the damp warm fruits of cattle, the distant smoldering pine. Five. The mushrooms are beginning to work. Only now? Are you sure? They stretch screens of forest floor soil, of mild musty mulchy bark over balsamic barks of sandal. Are you still counting? Six. Are such salty beads on your skin, resins drip like honey from time to time on withered undergrowth. Mushrooms still pulsing remnants of light. Wear a gentle face.

"Milestones" subtly moves through the associative spaces of various eagle woods. Beginning with a blend of coked pine, cocoa, medicinal-animalic Thai oud, and fruity-rooty-smoky Laos oud, sweeter, mossier, and animalic-leathery aromas of Indian oud and the loamy-rooty nuances of Cambodian oud soon come into play. Champaka contributes creamy sweetness. Beeswax and amber set few resinous luminous pearls. At times, I thought I smelled sunny salty skin. Kostus underscores the animalic-rootiness while bridging to the woodier base notes, which create the image of a mulched forest floor through the mushrooms. The scent of darkness works moderately over eight hours.

This is extremely special!
I became introduced to the Perfumer and owner of TSVGA about 1 month prior to the launch. I ordered his discovery set, and I have not been the same since. Milestones was the first one I wore. This is the most beautiful Oudh, Sandalwood and Jasmine perfume I have smelled in about 40 years. I have purchased many real Oudh perfumes from Ensar Oudh, Areej le Dore, and El Shareef which were of course amazing IMO. Milestones just had some extra special something...... It pushed above and beyond the the most amazing perfume experience into some pocket of mysticism and Nirvana. I fully acknowledge that these are bold statements, and as a lifetime collector and perfume lover I do believe that I have smelled enough classic and Niche perfumes to make rudimentary educated guess about its quality. For any Oudh Lover this is most definitely worth a sample. It is a very wearable, approachable Oudh with no barnyard carachteristics, only a very sexy funk. The rich florals are absolutely photorealistic and blend beautifully with the Oudh.
