A dream of fragrance

I loved this perfume from the very first second! In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful perfumes for the warm season.

Sel_Vanille smells to me of vanilla, jasmine, maritime notes and cedar. It's simply a perfect blend of sweet and fresh fragrance components.

The longevity and sillage are also really good and overall I just really love this bottle.

Easy enough aquatic vanilla

Maison Tahite Sel Vanille is an aquatic vanilla with jasmine, cedar, and sage, and it delivers this note blend coherently. It’s fairly easygoing while not being too moving, and it strikes me as something that someone looking for an aquatic vanilla would like, though I generally find it a difficult category to enjoy. I still think it largely achieves an agreeable result though, even without a specific sea salt vibe to counter the vanilla, something that aquatic vanillas often seem to employ. Not by any means one of my preferred options from the line, but one of the softer, more easygoing options and an aquatic, at that.

Sel Vanille, like most of the house, is priced at $120 at 100ml at EDP concentration, which is very good value, and this seems to be perform well.

Crème brûlée with salt crust

Vanilla summery and even "seay" to interpret, can often degenerate into a small, sugary-algid pudding cacophony. "Sel_Vanille" is, however, the opposite of this and an enormously pleasant gourmand with aquatic spiciness.

"Sel_Vanille" made me a bit in love with shock when smelling it in the perfumery - and even now at home, it is a really excellent companion that cleverly and smoothly blends my probably eternally favorite fragrance genres. Aquat (25%) and Gourmand (75%). A high quality vanilla with all its facets, not at all sticky or soggy. And salty sage crystals. Crass. Good. Very good, in fact. Beach meets sweet. Simple and great. Vacation-ready, exotic, you can hear the South Pacific trapsen. Sun, salt, sensuality.

Flacon: medicinal simple, plus points for the cardboard packaging
Sillage: smellable, noticeable, often commented on, very attractive
Shelf life: vanilla 7 hours at the ocean

Conclusion: an exceptionally gentle, salty (!) Vanilla treat, which brings its two opposites almost masterfully under a sun hat. Sunscreen, surfer girl, sugarsex.
