Insomnia - my absolute new favorite in my collection
Rarely or not yet awarded such high marks, but I can't help it, the fragrance made me do it;)
A last sample spritz became a bottle and I am very happy about that. Last December, a friend of mine was a guest at a perfumery in Berlin where the new Insomnia was presented. I was already taken with the aura and sillage from Kinetic.
The aforementioned friend brought a 5 ml sample from the event and I was at least able to apply a spritz or two. I remember that my first impression was "wow", even though I also thought the fragrance was incredibly strong at first. What impressed me the most, however, was the fact that I could still smell some of the fragrance on almost the third day.
Either way, I wasn't able to test the fragrance enough, but I was sure that it must have an insane longevity.
The fragrance was finally released last weekend and I ordered a bottle from the Duftbunker store. Thanks also to the team for the Kinetic Discovery Set.
It finally arrived yesterday and I wore it straight to the office. Six colleagues approached me in the office and in the afternoon meeting the customer asked who in the room smelled so good;) Sillage is an absolute 10 in my eyes. Only one other fragrance on my shelf has received so many compliments.
As for the fragrance itself, I would like to say that I immediately had the impression that Insomnia is a real beast. The first sprays are loud and literally scream "here I am". I would therefore recommend spraying the fragrance with caution. I can't even describe the opening 100%, but I can smell the juniper berry and a little tobacco. Leather is more in the background, which is perfect for my taste.
It doesn't take long for the sweet and, above all, aquatic notes to perform strongly and I love maritime notes like in Acqua di Sale.
I really have a lot in my closet that is listed here on EssenceVitae under strong sillage / performance, but I personally have not felt such a sillage with any fragrance so far and I am really happy about the fact that I have finally found a fragrance that contains all my wishes for the perfect spring / summer fragrance. Extremely long-lasting and, above all, a performance that doesn't fade after hours or, more importantly, becomes so much softer and more beautiful. A maritime note that I find extremely appealing and ultimately what we are all always happy about, an insane compliment getter. I'm already looking forward to wearing the fragrance in the coming days and, to be honest, I'd rather keep it for myself so that it doesn't do the rounds so much ;))
Blindbuy? I would say yes! Mainly because the people around me like it so much and it shows that it appeals to the masses. I have a lot of fragrances in my wardrobe that I haven't added to my collection yet and that I haven't used for months, even years. I strongly assume that my Insomnia bottle won't last long or I'm already thinking about ordering one or two in stock before they're sold out;))
