Sugary sweet with floral touches
My fourth sampling from the women’s set of releases by Encounter Scents is Romantic for Her, a sugary sweet floral with a cotton candy accord that’s downright delectable and fun but still controlled and classy. Key notes are that hefty sugar / cotton candy accord, something vaguely creamy (vanilla ice cream, amber, and fir resins are listed notes), saffron, white musk, and woods. At first, I though it might’ve been a rosy mix but there is no rose, and the menagerie of sweeter notes really tell the main story with the fragrance.
It’s sweet, satisfying, and not too heavy while still feeling strong and dense, so in that respect, it’s decently versatile even though it’s more apt for colder weather than the heat of summer based on its notes alone. It’s my favorite of the women’s collection so far by far (I still need to try In the Club for Her). Both Romantics (For Him and For Her) are outstanding, in fact, so this might by my favorite men’s/women’s pair of the same scent name.
Like the others in the line, Romantic for Her performs very well (at extrait concentration) and is priced at $85 for 100ml with a 15% discount available, sold only through the house site.
