For the lovers of romance
A gentle touch, soft kisses, the feeling of a lovers hand intertwining with yours- Bombon to me invokes imagery of romance on first spray. On the official site it is described as 'An addictive masterpiece for the flirtatious at heart.' but I instead think it's for the lovers, those who know that feeling of relief and comfort when around their person.
Bombon opens up with a burst of lychee before settling into the lily of the valley. Whike this scent is described as being floral gourmand on my skin the lily of the valley stayed pretty dominant, only dusted by a light wash of marshmallow but not enough to give it a gourmand feel. At no point could my nose, or anyone around me, detect the caramel or pink pepper - just the white florals. Now in the dry down I did get the crisp earthy quality of the white birch, soaked in cognac.
This is not a scent to wear of you want something that's going to announce itself before you enter the room. You'll have a nice little scent bubble, radiating at about arms length. Longevity wise I got a good 6 hours or so out of the scent. To be honest I envision this scent being worn on a brides wedding day, a romantic date night, or maybe a day of self care when you need to show yourself some love.
Over all this was a catch and release for me as I do wish it was heavier on the gourmand facets, but if you're someone who enjoys a beautiful floral I think this is worth giving a sniff.
