Snoozing land
If Sylt is an island with two mountains or hills, I can't even tell yet, because unfortunately I haven't been there yet. But at least I know there's a rail link across Hindenburgdamm.
What I also associate with it are a very long sandy beach, windsurfing, beach chairs, Zanzibar as well as oyster and champagne sipping.
The latter may be clichés, but as long as I wasn't there, it haunts my head.
That there is a smell of its own concerning the largest North Sea island, I experienced also only here by chance. Here again many thanks to Parma for the bottling.
Sylt man eau de toilette starts off quite fresh and spicy, like a light sea wave without too much riding on the aquatic, which would be obvious.
Here a little basil and some algae plus a little thyme, a refreshing breeze develops, whereby the citrus somehow disappears. But who
already needs lemons on Sylt?
Just a few minutes later wird´s rather musky-creamy, so that you inevitably have to think of sun cream, but not as exact as Sun Men by Jil Sander or Fire Island by Bond Nr. 9.
It's just stupid that this nuance is more strongly interspersed with a lot of cedar wood and doesn't remain much of the fresh top note. Musk should arrive with the base note added. Flowers on Sylt? Also no sign.
Ergo the initially lively scent quickly becomes a tired beach slumberer who loses all dynamism. Too bad, because I was hoping for more. But at least it's a better souvenir than sunburn or oyster poisoning.
