Hello there! Today I bring you snoopers a new comment, Marinis from Santa Eulalia.
Yes, as you may already be able to deduce from the name of the fragrance, it is a marine fragrance that is supposed to remind you of the sea. And who doesn't like the endless, super great sea with beautiful sandy beaches, hot weather, bikini... (oh I write bikinibabes too often, don't I? :DD) and everything that belongs to the sea?
Sure, back in the 70s, when the movie "The Great White Shark" came into the cinemas, all people were so stupidly scared that they didn't go to the beach for a while :D
But apart from that, I hardly know anyone who doesn't like the sea... well, you'd think. Of course I know some people who don't think much of the sea, that's because one person can't swim and thinks that we would only be at the sea in the water and he would stay alone on the beach, and because another person doesn't like to wear shorts in life and prefers to walk to the beach in jeans (well, at least he goes to the beach, but the sea isn't a must for him). Yeah, everybody's got some quirks, as you can see, so don't just pick on me!!! D
But let us come to the fragrance, which hopefully is not just "any" marine fragrance, which only smells salty or so, but is also a little pleasant (and ideally reminds of beautiful holiday resorts).
The fragrance:
Yes, the fragrance begins exactly as one imagines a fragrance with the theme "sea": Marin, slightly salty and somehow algal (not to be confused with fishy :D). Of course there are also other fragrances available, so that the whole thing comes across more perfumed. There's the mint with a dash of lemon, which makes for a nice, fresh start, and the patchouli, which leaves an earthy impression and honestly, in my opinion, could have been fragrant later. At least its earthy scent goes well with the salty marine scents.
But somehow the patchouli seems to weaken again and strangely enough I can smell the lemon again a few minutes later, and this time even more intensely, which makes the fragrance come across nice and fresh, especially together with the mentioned mint that over time overtakes the lemon again.
I smell green and herbaceous notes, those should be the laurels. So the fragrance stays a little fresh for now.
After about half an hour, the maritime notes come back, now a little stronger, as the scent becomes saltier and smells just as if you were smelling the humid, salty air near the coast. If you fantasize a little, you might even think you're smelling a little sunscreen, but maybe I'm just imagining it, I don't know!
Anyway, towards the end it remains mainly salty with light woody notes and even becomes too salty at the very end, which is due to the fact that most of the other scents have faded away. So in the end I would spray the scent again if you didn't like the pure salty scent like me.
The Sillage and the shelf life:
The charisma is mediocre, so it's okay to be perceived at close range.
The shelf life is very long and lasts longer than twelve hours. Half of this time, unfortunately, one smells only the salts.
The bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and looks a bit simple at first glance. But then you notice that the sides of the flacon are grooved or waved, which leaves a nice optical impression (and of course also a great haptic feeling). The label is triangular, which doesn't happen very often. The lid is black and cylindrical. A nice bottle.
Aaahh... you know what Marinis reminds me of? Okay, you can imagine that already! That's right, it reminds me of the sea. But not simply to the sea itself, but to all this anticipation, when you go on holiday (or fly), and then set off to the beach and on the way more and more perceive this salty, humid air, which blows from the sea into the interior and where you already before lying down to the beach (or go into the water) now know with certainty that you have arrived on holiday. It's a nice feeling and you're looking forward to a few nice holidays, even if after only a few days you should be thinking about what you could bring some friends :D
Of course you have to like salty scents (like Sel Marin from Heeley, or Seathalasso from Douglas), because even if the scent starts rather fresh and minty, it gets more and more salty and also more algae, that belongs to the sea scents, but in the end the scent was a bit too salty for me, but you can spray it to make it fresher again. And if you like something like that, then you have a good mood scent that can be worn well in spring and summer, best during the day, either here in your free time or right away on holiday!
Apart from that it could also bring you a bit of vacation here, especially if you like me this year unfortunately have no opportunity to go to the sea, buhuhuu *schluchz*
Maybe you could at least go to the lake "in case of need"! Who's coming for a swim? Ho ho ho, you ladies have to wear bikinis, mu ha ha ha ha :D
Boy, that sounded as if I only had dirty thoughts...!!
By the way, I don't know if this was due to my sample, but I found the consistency of the scent liquid quite oily... no matter, I've arrived at the end and wish everyone a nice evening :)
