Well-mannered light rose
A nicely crafted, well-mannered rose fragrance. Light, not in the least overpowering, a very basic floral scent. No hidden depthes, no excitement, this scent knows the rules of "decent" rose-fragrance and never bends them. If you are into light roses - this one is perfect, just a light floral veil. Bonus: nice packaging.

Realistic Roses
This is a light but still a bit heady and very realistic rose. It reminds me of the roses my great-grandmother grew and how much I loved to just stand and smell them.

The opening is really pretty, and the soft violet and sweet magnolia prevent the rose from going to sharp. The tea brings just the slightest green note, and I think that contributes to the realism of the rose.

The rose softens but remains present as the musk and cedar become more prominent. The drydown is pretty but nothing special. The star here is the wonderfully realistic rose.

This is very inexpensive, and it's nice alone but a great scent for layering. The longevity could be better; the projection and sillage are very light, but PSR performs better in hot, humid weather and never becomes cloying. It's a rosy little gem.

Tea rose
For a untrained nose this smells just like rose, nothing unexpected. After trying some fruity lychee rose jammy perfumes, I come back to this one, and this time I can distinguish the tea. It’s not really a pretty and charming rose, but rather a natural, soft and clean rose. The longevity and silage are both good.

A rose you want to smell for a long time
I used to have a garden, full of roses. I picked and planted each one, carefully choosing every one of them for its colour, smell or generousity. Some of them excelled in all three categories. There was one, though, that had a very unique skill: it was the first to bloom. Its name was Frühlingsduft. In German it means Spring scent. It had the most beautiful roses, apricot, creamy and golden. It was a bush that became quite big and every spring I enjoyed the wonderful sight of it. The smell? Well, like Paul Smith Rose.

One of the best roses out there
This is a staple in my collection, truly one of the most realistic rose scents out there. Great price point and it has been around for ages, for good reason!

The green tea does something special, it keeps it away from being too sharp or cloying, keeps it fresh and gives it a little more interest for when you wear it on it's own. It's an all-season no-brainer, easy grab. Rose also really lends itself for layering!
