Simply a classic
Like many of us, Layton was my first sample that I ordered from EssenceVitae. My first contact with a niche perfume. And of course I was blown away.
At the beginning this gentle apple-citrus freshness. Gently accompanied by lavender.
As the fragrance progresses, the freshness remains unobtrusive in the background.
However, the fragrance becomes somewhat darker. The vanilla becomes more dominant but not unpleasantly sweet, as spicy and woody notes round off the sweetness and make it appear more complex.
Especially in the drydown, this unique PDM DNA comes through, which I can't really describe.
For me, an all-rounder whose performance you don't have to worry about.
