Personality disorder in a bottle
Even though I like some Marly fragrances, Darcy - otherwise very hyped - is a flop for me. No plan, no concept, personality disorder in the bottle, that would be the short version.
If I hadn't known that I was smelling a fragrance from the luxury sector, I would never have guessed blindly. Pretty mainstream for me in the opening and not worth the price.
I love bergamot and orange scents, here I smell neither, but pungent, floral and indefinable notes in the drydown.
Sweets from a funfair and just at that moment a man walks past, his aftershave lingers in the air.
Generic, arbitrary and interchangeable.
Similar to some Montale fragrances, only short-lived and less overwhelming.
A little similar to Panthere by Cartier, I didn't like it either. Some say it smells similar to Mademoiselle by Chanel, I only find it similar for the first 30 minutes. My main problem with this fragrance is that it smells so random.
The sillage is good, the longevity is poor and I would rather wear the fragrance in colder seasons.
More of an evening fragrance.
A very contradictory fragrance development, as if the fragrance suffers from a personality disorder.
Very feminine, sweet and omnipresent at the beginning, aftershave vibes at the end.
No blind buy and for me no buy at all, 10 ml vial must also work.

You go other ways! / Are you a Marly?
Hello everyone,

this will be a relatively short review. I know that there are different tastes and that's a GOOD thing...

The scent is strange, difficult, scratchy and somehow unattractive - really.
(It starts out sweetly floral, a little green and herbaceous, and then becomes slightly sweet and soft in the drydown. Ultimately, it reads very pleasantly, but the tuning is really strange for the house and, in my opinion, not appropriate if you know the standard of the brand...)

I can NOT recommend it to you!

The H/S is quite good to good, but after 1x, 2x testing my wife and I could no longer smell it - she also found it extremely unpleasant and she is also a great friend of the house.

I can't understand what PDM has done here, it's an absolute mystery to me, really! We don't have an inexpensive provider here, but an upmarket niche house and these words offend me a little!
Why?

I've been a great friend of the house since 2011 / 2012 and MANY fragrances were really really good and I'm talking about the fragrances for women and men, but here phew...

In the end, the bottles, sprayers and lids at PDM don't differ much (depending on gender), except for the color, BUT you have to say the house really does a lot right, anything other than a 9 or 10/10 is hard for me to understand (I like those) !

And now have a nice day/evening, or whatever you read this review, LG the Benny
_______
And now, almost finally, to the point about the "dear price", let me put it this way: if we say we have a certain desire for luxury products / fragrance products in the niche sector, then I find it difficult or quite honestly almost pointless to chalk this up as something negative. Nobody is forcing us to spend this money. If you ask me now: Benny is it worth it? Then I say, if you want to spend it, test it and then buy it, but I recommend everyone to test it! You just have to experience it - the art of what is / can be possible.

Now a brief word on the subject of my opinion:

I am not sponsored, influenced by anyone, receive money or anything else. I approach the subject of essencevitae as I am, honestly, everything else is not mine. My real personal opinion is worth a lot to me and maybe I hope ;) that you notice that. If I don't like something, e.g. OVP, bottle, sprayer or H/S, then I communicate this!

Sharp and screechy
Oh noooo. Literally had to scrub this off both times I tried it. I thought maybe I’d been too harsh the first time, so I tried it again, but no. It’s full on sharp screechy 1990s era green and white florals that remind me of a cheap knock off Eternity—a perfume I don’t actually like much in the first place. It also made me sneeze. Major sad face, or more accurately, mad face that even though I scrubbed it twice with strong soap, I can still smell it.

An hour was more than enough.
Short and sweet, just awful. It only happened to me a couple of times that I simply had to wash off a scent after an hour but I just washed off Darcy because I just couldn't stand the "smell" anymore. Pungent and sharp up to the sky... I see people at the cemetery, all dressed in black with black lips and dog collars as jewellery. Chills...

I usually love bergamot and orange scents but I just smell some pungent floral indefinable notes. I see a black rose, dull and dark, with a pungent orange in the background. After 20 minutes my nose almost hurt and I had to give in to Darcy. I was waiting for something soft, something soft that would bring this unbearable sharpness, including scary thoughts and ideas, " kill" but unfortunately nothing came...

By far the weakest fragrance of the brand. Old-fashioned, out of time and nothing special.
